Dakmor answered Tuesday August 9 2005, 7:15 am: Take it from a Boy Scout. You can get very sick from the heat. You can get hyperthermia or heat stroke. Both are very bad. Hyperthermia is where you're just totally exhausted and may faint from the heat, you don't feel like doing much of anything. At all. The other kind, heat stroke, is what you described: throwing up, nausea, dizziness, etc. One time, at a wilderness survival training thing for Boy Scouts, I had to play a victim who was suffering from heat exhaustion, dizziness, nausea, and skinned knees---of course, the knees had nothing to do with the heat exhaustion, but you get the point.
karenR answered Tuesday August 9 2005, 3:29 am: You sure can. You can get heat exhaustion or worse yet heat stroke. Google either one for more info. :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
