ok so this saturday is my friends birthday and there is going to be funday at this park (not an amusement park) along with fireworks.. i want to go but my dad got tickets to see a baseball game (only a $10 ticket) and they are staying overnight
half of me really wants to stay home so i can have friends over and have a good time while my parents and family is out..but part of me feels guilty because i saw how disappointed my dad was when i told him i want to maybe stay back
he said i could stay back if i slept over a friends house (i would really stay at my house) but i dont know if i should chose going with my family or staying back
***my fam and i already saw a mets game, tony hawk skate show, and a pro softball game so its not like we never do stuff together..but im alwways hangin with friends**

with friends you can go anytime and you should not disappoint you parents like that spend time with them this saturday and have your friends over another night
AbsoluteCuti170 answered Sunday July 31 2005, 3:08 pm: to tell you the truth family is way more importat than friends. you can ake friends anywhere but spending time with family never gets old. Out of my experience with choosing friends over family i say FAMILY.. Even if parents say "oh you can stay back it doesnt matter." what theyre actually saying is "why would they choose friends instead of family. and then they wonder to themselves if they are good enough parents.. plus you can have fun with your friend anytime but having fun with your family is a very special time..AND it means so much to them knowing that you care enough to hang out with them even though they might not be "COOL" enough or whatever.
**I choose family just because i know how much it means to my family when i spend time with them even though we hung out the day before..
**Do what your heart tells you**you'll do the right thing then**
**XOXO**hope i helped thnks for writing!!

Honestly even though staying at home and having friends over sounds very tempting and desiring you should stick with your family. I mean when you get older you will have so much time to spend with your friends. You'll hardly spend any time with your family. I know you might be saying yes i will right now but trust me when you get older you won't have as much fun hanging out with your family. Pluse what if you get caught and get in lots of trouble. You might even lose your parents trust. Which is one of the worst things that could happen to you.
So think about it. It's really just up to you.
brunettecutie answered Sunday July 31 2005, 2:48 pm: if i was you in this problem i would go with my family. let me explain, your friends will always want you to come over and friends will keep having parties and stuff, but i think that knowing your dad would be disapointed, i think u should go with him bc family is forever, i mean so are friends, friends are the most important thing to have, and friends will come and go but family will be forever.

karenR answered Sunday July 31 2005, 2:32 pm: My suggestion is going to be that you spend time with family. Those days will be the ones you remember one of these days. Besides having friends over while parents are out will only get you in hot water....or could. They wouldn't trust you again for quite some time. Go to the game and have fun! :) [ karenR's advice column | Ask karenR A Question ]
