rosienclaire answered Sunday July 24 2005, 4:51 pm: hey yes
ok wlell first buy about 4 or 5 different colors of eyeshadow (of your choice) or just use the ones that you have...
and start at the top bone of your eye working down with different colors - at the very bottom of your eye brush out the eyeshadow- and take eyeliner and starting at the inside of your eye work out curving up
X0C0URT answered Saturday July 23 2005, 2:15 pm: Well this is what I do for smokey eyes it and looks pretty. I use black eyeliner (CoverGirl Perfect Point Plus), kind of thick but not trashy looking. Then I have a grayish-silvery eyeshadow cream. I apply it like eyeshadow on my eyelids. Just experiment with different kinds of makeup and colors. You'll find what looks good!
Melanie4981 answered Friday July 22 2005, 11:08 pm: Depends what skin colouring you have..... if you have Olive-ish skin like me then you should use really light base tones like silver gold rtc then put a darker grey?gold above it... butthen it entirely depends on what you are wearing as to what make-up you wear..... just go with what you think looks good and what you are comfortable with wearing and you'll look good...
ncblondie answered Friday July 22 2005, 9:59 pm: Using varying shades of the same color (usually three) and smudging the eye shadow with your finger are the key. Blues, greys, browns and greens usually work best but you can use whatever color you choose.
Start with the lightest shade and highlight to your brow, then take the middle shade and apply to the ridge of your eye socket. Apply the darkest shade to your eyelid. With your fingertip gently smear the shadow out away from your inner eye. Line upper and lower lid with the darkest shade. Mascara in a separating, curling formula will finish the look.
cookierat123 answered Friday July 22 2005, 7:22 pm: get the eye shadow out. first put on a really light color on. then keep working up to the dark colors. once you get to the darks then just start dabbing it on. i hope it helped. [ cookierat123's advice column | Ask cookierat123 A Question ]
xO_thAtS_hOTt_Ox answered Friday July 22 2005, 7:05 pm: It's not too hard. Usually with smokey eyes, darker, sexier colors are used, or combinations of light and dark browns.
here are some makeup tips. (for smokey eyes follow all eyeshadow techniques, using browns/darker eyeshadows.
*put a dot of light eyeshadow on the edge of your eye (closest to the nose) this will make your eyes look rounder and bigger!
*take a dark brown or smoky color, and basically trace the line where your eyeball ends (in between the center of your eyelid and your eyebrow. when done correctly, your eyes will really be brought out. be sure that you don't do this too high up though!
*dont just stick with plain old black and brown eyeliner. try a fun, flirty color (turquoise, teal, neon/bright/shocking blues work really well!) and put just little marks underneath your eyes. this look is more fun, summery, etc.
*[For smokey eyes], I recommend dark browns, blacks, and even dark navy blue eyeliner!
*try blending--pick a color. get a darker shade and apply on eyelids. then, in center of eyelids, draw a line with a lighter shade. use a soft brush to blend the edges where these two shades meet together. ((this can also be done vice versa--lighter shade as base, darker on top))
hope i helped, and if you have any questions about what i said just ask me!

Karen answered Friday July 22 2005, 5:32 pm: It's actually pretty easy to make your eyes smokey. You just put on the color eyeshadow you want to wear and then apply a gray eyeshadow over it and that's how it's done. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Mackenzie answered Friday July 22 2005, 4:49 pm: Yeahhhh, it's easy! First, you simply put on the color eye shadow you wish to wear. Then, using a brush with bristles, dab a bit of gray eye shadow OVER it!! It's quick and easy, not to mention gorgeous; I *NEVER* leave the house without it!! :D [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]
Ashley9391 answered Friday July 22 2005, 4:47 pm: If you have pencil eyeliner turn it kind off on its side, that should make it appear more cloudy or smokey. Then if you want more, do the same on the top or add brownish eye shadow.
