babygirl17 answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 2:34 pm: You need to tell the parents what the little kid did.. Indeed the baby could have been hurt or even might be hurt. You have to put yourself in the position of the parents.. if you had someone watching your kids.. and that happened.. Would you want the person to tell you. I know that if a little kid was ontop of my daughter i would want to be told...
X_Amanda_X answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 2:28 pm: You should really tell the parents. Because if the baby is hurt and they find out that you knew, you may lose your job.
ncblondie answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 2:04 pm: You should tell the parents. First off they need to check the baby for any injuries. Second they need to figure out why the kid was on top of the baby. They won't know unless you tell them.
mystical_breeze answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 2:00 pm: Tell the parents before the little baby gets hurt by the kid. It's not your fault that the baby was hurt because of their child, so you need to tell them (You won't get in trouble). Every baby-sitter should do that if a child is getting hurt, you can't ignore something like that.
tasuki answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 1:36 pm: Uh...you should definitely tell the parents. It's their kids after all. If their baby is hurt, they need to know, the same goes for if their other child is violent. Was this like, a sexual thing or was he trying to kill the baby or what? Dr_Joseph answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 1:08 pm: I think you should tell the perants right away.
Maybe the little kid was just playing and didn't realise that the baby could be hurt.
But it's better the parents know the truth than suspect you for any harm done to the wee baby. [ Dr_Joseph's advice column | Ask Dr_Joseph A Question ]
mushoku answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 1:05 pm: Tell them - even if the baby isn't hurt, there may be another issue they need to deal with. I don't know how the kid got on top of the baby, or what all that means, but if it was intentional, then there's an issue with the kid. If the kid was asleep and rolled over on top of the baby, then the issue is that they need to not have them in a bed together. Though I don't know why they wouldn't have the baby in a crib. sara6547 answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 12:37 pm: you should really tell the parents. its not ur fault. you put them to bed and the kid decided to do a stupid thing. if you dont tell the parents and the baby is hurt and its serious then you'll have something big to regret so you'll feel guilty. so just tell them the same story you told all of us!
Karen answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 12:21 pm: You need to tell the parents about what happened. The kid shouldn't be on top of the baby, first of all. If you think the baby might hurt, then tell the parents. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
xoBrowneyes answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 11:38 am: See if the baby is ok tell the little kid it is not ok to get on top of him. Check the baby for any red marks scratches or bruses. If he is ok you don't have to call his parents. But if he is not you need to.
Hope I Helped!

XSugarPieX77 answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 11:33 am: What was the kid doing on top of the baby? Well, deffinitly tell the parents. Why wouldnt you? The kid shouldnt be doing that. Like you said, the baby could get hurt so it would be a good idea to tell the parents just in case anything is wrong. Good Luck!
