okay the problem is when i sweat and stuff my hair gets REALLY frizzy, almost like in the movies when someone gets elecricuted! it sticks up everywhere, and everyone else has perfect hair lying flat on their head while dripping with sweat, and even the slightest bit of sweat and i turn into a puff ball or something! i have soccer tryouts tonight at 4-6 and the rest of the week, and then i have a soccer tournament saturday and sunday, does anyone have some ideas on how i can tame my hair so i dont look like i've been elctricuted while i'm playing soccer?! pleeeeeease help, this has been happening forever and i am sick of it. i rate 5's for answers that arent stupid or unhelpful. ♥
mapetiteodette answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 6:43 pm: I think the best cure for frizzy hair is a great conditioner. If you try any of the Pantene "Hydrating Curls" products, these should keep your hair down when it adds moisture, because most frizzy hair is caused by dryness.
You also might want to try an extra hold hairspray. I only use a little bit on my hair and it stays down all day no matter what. (If you use a little it doesn't make the hair feel different either.) [ mapetiteodette's advice column | Ask mapetiteodette A Question ]
pisa_x3 answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 3:48 pm: Well i know where your coming from. I play soccer and have been for my whole entire life .. Like since i was 4 1/2. And yeaa your hair is gonna get a little frizzy when you get hott, But heres what i do. You can either slick it back with water .. which feels really good when your on he field and itz like a sauna out there... Or you could buy professonal hair care products. But i think its a waste ... kuz no one really cares what you look like and how sweaty you are. All they care about is if you game is good. Ya know?? YOu personally i would go with the water thing kuz it keeps you cool while you're playing and your hair doesn't frizz.
I hope i helped x3 [ pisa_x3's advice column | Ask pisa_x3 A Question ]
ncblondie answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 1:49 pm: Try a frizz-reducing serum on your hair. There are several on the market and they will help tame your hair.
Home remedies include rubbing a little coconut oil through your hair, shampooing your hair less often, rinsing your hair with 1 tablespoon of baking soda mixed with one cup of water, drink plenty of water, eat lots of fruits and veggies (I know it sounds weird but they will help supply vitamins and minerals to your hair making it healthier and less likely to frizz.), leave conditioner in for about 3 minutes before rinsing or if you have more time wrap your head in a towel after applying conditioner and wait 10-15 minutes before rinsing, and try not to use the blow dryer if you can.
A hot oil treatment used 1-2 times a week will help repair your hair making it less likely to frizz.
tasuki answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 1:39 pm: I have the same problem, the only way to deal with it is shave your head. Okay, you might not want to do it, but the shaved look isn't that bad and you can wear cool scarves on your head, it looks really good. [ tasuki's advice column | Ask tasuki A Question ]
LoveNJstyle answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 12:39 pm: well for starters put it up in a pony tail for sports. if its that bad, maybe put the top in braids or cornrows...i think it looks cute and it will save you trouble during the games. <3 [ LoveNJstyle's advice column | Ask LoveNJstyle A Question ]
Karen answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 12:09 pm: If you have a local pharmacy or store near you, try going there and buying 'Frizz Ease' or
Wind Down' by John Frieda. They both work great and it won't make your hair frizzy, once you use the product. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

SWANKiFiED answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 11:38 am: Try John Frieda's Frizz-Ease! It works like a CHARM && locks moisture out. You can also use gel & scrunch your hair so it looks curly. Your hair won't frizz if you do that. If you go to Walgreens or a place similar, they have a WHOLE section of hair serums that will keep your hair FRIZZ FREE! =)
chocolatecake answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 11:29 am: blow dry your hair then straiten it then put hair spay in it to make it hold. if that does not work then you should put gell in it and skrunch it to make it look curly, it looks wet so you cant see the sweet, it is better then have frizzy hair!
