Some people can't help being 'chubby' they're just built different. Try getting a new nutritious eating habit. Trainers have specific meals that can help you have a lot of protein and to have a steady diet. Remember that its better to eat a lot of healthy stuff than nothing at all... you HAVE to eat. In fact you burn more calories eating than doing most other things... healthy foods keep those calories off.
Just find a sport that you like and have fun with it. You don't neccesarily even have to join a league if you don't have time for that. Just go outside and shoot some hoops or play catch every week. But most important you must ACCEPT WHO YOU ARE and then set a realistic goal. So get off this dang computer right now, grab an apple, and swim some laps. Nevaeh314 answered Thursday July 21 2005, 2:33 am: Pay more attention to you diet (like what you eat, not "diet"). For me, I've found that eating smaller meals more throughout the day helps, and just taking a brisk walk once or twice a day. Just try to realize when you're really hungry, and when you're eating because you're bored, or just want something to munch on.
The best exercise is walking, or jogging. Biking is good too, and swimming burns a lot of calories. If you have a play station and you've heard of the game Dance Dance Revolution, that's really good for fun exercise, and doesn't really make you think about what you're doing. Otherwise, try exercises targeted to areas you want to tone on your body, like for your stomach, doing crunches, or for your arms lifting like small weights. Hope this helps, good luck.

(same w/crunches, running, biking) also watch what you are eating. when you go get a snack instead of chips/cookies or anything get an apple or banana or some veggies. if your bored and are going on your computer or going to watch TV go outside and play basketball/volleyball or anything you want to thats running or playing. also lay off the sodas! hope i helped

Also try doing lots of cardio excercises like running/walking, jumping, bike riding, basically anything that gets your heart beating.Check out [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) for more excercises.

Karen answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 11:11 am: I heard the South Beach Diet works and there is a book that you can buy that tells you everything about this diet. You could try low carbing and you would lose weight quick. Just eat healthy, do some cardio workouts and exercises (running, bicycling, jump roping, kick boxing, running in place, and so on), and watch how much you eat and you'll lose weight eventually. Just don't snack in between meals and switch up the way you eat to increase your metabolism; lets say tomorrow you could eat 3 big, healthy meals and the next day, you could eat 5 small, healthy meals and just repeat the pattern for the following days. Drink water also. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]

ncblondie answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 10:00 am: Losing weight fast is not healthy for your body. At 2 pounds of weight loss a week, it'll take you about 7 and a half weeks to get the pounds off. It takes 3500 calories burned or decreased to lose a pound. At 5'1 your healthy weight range is 99-132 so you really only need to lose about 8 pounds to be in this range. With diet and exercise, you can be at this weight in a month.
I found the following sites to show you how much calories you burn with activities and exercise. The first one has a great calculator that lets you put in all your exercise for the day and then calculates how many calories you burned. The fourth link is also a calorie calculator but it only calculates one activity.
Drinking plenty of water will help get the weight off. A diet high in low-fat dairy products has been found to help lose weight and keep it off.
Switching to lower-fat food alternatives, cutting out sweets and sodas, eating plenty of fruits and veggies, avoiding fried foods, lowering carbohydrate intake (breads, pastas) or switching to healthier versions (wheat or whole-grain bread), and lowering your salt intake (salt makes you retain water) will all help. Lean meats such as chicken and turkey provide lots of protein without the added fat. Spicy foods will rev up your metabolism.
Try "negative calorie foods", a dieter's best friend. These foods burn more calories digesting than they have in them. They include cucumber, celery, asparagus, apples, broccoli, berries, onion, papaya, lettuce, pineapple, and zucchini as well as more. Just go a google for "negative calorie foods" to get a more detailed list.
Swimming is an all-over body toner. Crunches will make your stomach appear smaller. Leg lifts will help tone your thighs. Running and stair climbing are both thigh and butt toners.
Just remember that muscle weighs more than fat. However muscle is a good thing to have since it burns fat faster.
Make sure to add a good quality multivitamin (One-a-day is good) to your diet plan. Dieters often run low on some vitamins and minerals since they cut back on foods so the multivitamin will help keep these at healthy levels.
Get enough sleep. Your body needs sleep to take care of itself and when it's lacking on sleep, your metabolism is sluggish and you burn less fat. Don't skip meals. Your first meal of the day gets your metabolism going. If you skip breakfast, your metabolism won't start really going until lunch, making you lose at least 4 hours of calorie-burning.
Clean answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 4:37 am: Aw man, you sound so much like me and I can help!
First whatever you do, you have to cut down on your eating. I'm not saying you eat a lot, and hell if I would know, but you have to eat reasonably.
Eat a good breakfast, but make it small. Breakfast isn't supposed to be a huge meal. And don't eat a cereal bar or anything.. Have a serving size bowl of cereal with a cup or so of milk and a glass of orange juice or some v8 tomato juice. Whatever you like!
[no snacks inbetween!]
Lunch is supposed to be larger than breakfast, and what I like to have is Iceburg lettuce salad with carrots and cucumbers in it with a tablespoon of ranch dressing and a glass of water. It keeps you energized and keeps you full until dinner!
[no snacks inbetween!]
Dinner, in most families, is the largest meal of the day. It really doesn't matter what you are eating at dinner whether it's french fries and fried chicken or something more healthier and balanced. It's better if you have sit down dinner with a family, too because it's proven if you eat meals infront of the TV you don't realise how much you are consuming and it may be too much. Now, if you have a family that has desert right after dinner and it's your favorite, you might want to leave some room so you aren't completely full when it's time for desert.
Reminders: You should always drink water with meals and a glass before a meal. Sodas are bad to have with meals because they don't properly "rinse out" your insides!
Okay, so now to the excersize question! Sorry, I added my own little thing up there, but truly it does help when you want to lose weight in a month.
Excersizes: Stretching. Yes stretching can help you burn those pounds. Try doing "helocopters" where you have your arms infront of your chest and facing inward as if you were going to pound your two fists together and rotate left and right. It works out your abs and it's a great warm up.
Walking. People don't realise this either but walking burns pounds when you are eating right. If you live in a neighbor hood take a couple walks everyday, or walk your dog or go to the park and walk a couple laps around the park!
Crunches: I think most people know them by sit-ups or cruches, and they are pretty affective, but keep in mind you might do 100 crunches a day and never loose weight in your stomach because you can not spot reduce.
Spot reducing is when you work out a certain part of your body to reduce the fat in that area.
neeny answered Wednesday July 20 2005, 4:37 am: I can help you out a little. The way I see is you have two options.
1. Low Card Diet.
This works especially well in the summer when you are not as active than you are during the school year. Usually it makes you tired since you don't have the carbs but it's very effective. Depending on how much you work out & how well you stick to the diet you could lose about 10 pounds in the first week!
2. Running/Cardio.
Lots of cardio is the main key to weightloss. IF you do straight cardio non stop for 35 minutes at your maximum heart rate you lose weight. I suggest running at a steady pace for 45-60 minutes. If running is not for you, you should try work out videos that are based on cardio. Anything that gets your heart rate up is cardio. Remember, that you also have to cut calories to be able to lose the maximum amount of weight. Try switching to whole grain instead of processed flour & limiting sweets/sodas.
