I've had my period for two years now. It's verrrrry irregular. It will skip months and come anytime during the month. I've gone 3 months with out my period. I never know when it's going to show up. I've heard that sometimes if you're skinny that might have something to do with it. I'm like 5'6 and i weigh 105 pounds. Do you think it has anything to do with it? What do you think i should do? Thanks.
exyweetee99 answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 1:01 am: yea if your like really skinny it will be like that but getting put on the pill is supose to regulate your period.....you can go to your gyn doctor or your local health department should be able to do it for free and w/ out your parents finding out .... diffrent states may have diffrent rules though...i live in tenn. and it is free here in my home town... katelovesya456 answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 12:04 am: I've heard that for the first year or two your period might not be regular. I think you should tell ure doctor though, just in case its a problem. I'm not sure if it has to do with your weight, but that is possible. If your very thin, and your body cant 'afford' to have you lose blood every month than your period may stop. Id deffinetly go to the doctor though. XxonlyindreamsxX answered Monday July 4 2005, 9:40 pm: no no it shouldn't be because youre skinny because i'm skinny 2 and nothing is goin on. usually the first part of when you start youre period is very irregular (not for all people but for some) and you really can't do anything about it, but if it continues like this for years to come you should see your doctor and make sure it isn't something else. xOtWiXi answered Monday July 4 2005, 1:08 am: Your weight shouldn`t have anything to do with it, but it might be a factor sometimes. For the first couple years of having your period, usually it is extrememly irregular, so don`t worry, most likely it is okay. If you still feel uncomfortable, go see your doctor and tell your doctor what`s going on, but most likely, they will tell you the exact same thing I`m saying =] Hope I`ve Helped ♥ [ xOtWiXi's advice column | Ask xOtWiXi A Question ]
deathwillcome answered Sunday July 3 2005, 5:19 pm: I haven't heared of that being because of you being skinny. I guess it could be that but you never know. blondebaby1016 answered Sunday July 3 2005, 4:22 pm: If you go through a time when you're not eating enough, your body gets to a point where your period stops. But it could be up to 7 months before you get it again, and then you'llbe back to normal. Its normal the first few y ears for your period to be irregular and not always come at the exact same time. But if you are truly concerned, talk to your dr. [ blondebaby1016's advice column | Ask blondebaby1016 A Question ]
Tinkerbelle answered Sunday July 3 2005, 1:16 pm: i'm not sure if your weight would affect it. all i know is that for the first two or three years it's going to be irregular; mine still isn't completely right and i've had it for four and a half years. if it's that messed up though, you can go on the pill and it will help regulate it. if you don't want to mess with taking that, all you can do is be prepared for whenever it will come and hope it becomes normal later on.
