ok, i want to get into really good shape for the upcoming school year because i plan on working out hard over the course of the year. im trying to get my stomach to get really flat and its not working. i do sit ups every single day and i do a total of at least 4500 in a week. i stretch everyday too and i go on walks as often as possible, probably a few times a week. i swim twice or three times a week too but nothing seems to have any affect on my body. any advice? plz help! i rate high for any reasonable answer
StArGiRL75 answered Tuesday July 5 2005, 11:38 am: Thses things dont just happen...you need to eat right too! You cant go off exercising and then expect to eat cake when you get home and expect to loose a few pounds. Send me an inbox of how your days go and i can tell you what to correct or do! AsH! orphans answered Monday July 4 2005, 2:43 pm: there is only 2 things that could be wrong either you are not eating right or you are stressed out. cuz this is happening to me. i work out hard and try to eat right but i never seem to lose any weight. then i say a comercial and it said that people can also gain weight by stress because of this type of hormone. but anyway keep up the great work. OrangeLuverr answered Saturday July 2 2005, 10:24 pm: Ive been walking about 7 miles on weekdays and eating healthier and i've lost 10 pounds in 2 weeks. Most people would say thats not healthy but i dont care...i actually worked hard by doing that. Try to substitute a meal with a salad and a fruit as a snack. And walk and exersize instead of laying down and watching t.v. It takes time though so dont get discouraged...and the first few days you might gain some weight because you'll be gaining muscle. Hope that helps, if u need any more advice feel free to ask [ OrangeLuverr's advice column | Ask OrangeLuverr A Question ]

Razhie answered Saturday July 2 2005, 9:36 pm: Do crunches, not sit-ups. You'll work out your ab muscles better and you wont hurt your back.
Make sure you are doing different kind of crunches as well, do some with your legs leaned to the side, some with you legs right up in the air, and do some with your knees pulled up and pull them towards your chest as you crunch.
You hafta to work out all your ab muscles, the lower ones and upper and the ones on the side.
On top of that, if you are serious about losing weight ask for a professionals advice (It's totally worth it.) Don't take diet advice from strangers but do make sure you are drinking lots of water!
