Hey uhm im 13..and im not the u kno most preppiest girl out there. I have black hair and brown eyes..I want sumthing to do with my hair cuz im tired of being so tomboyish. Im not the skinniest girl so does ne1 have ne tips on how i can be a little more girly without being preppy?

welll ummmmmm... really why do you want t o change your self????you shouild like who you are...wel you can try to oose some weight if you want to!!you can eat more fruits and veggies.. and you can stop eatting junk if you do..and you dont have to be a prep to be beatufull..well you can put your hair up in like a pony tail..and if your hair is short then just let it grow out and be proud of what you got..but you can always by the pantene pro -v shampoo that always helps me with my hair.... or you buy thermasilk..never by the cheap brands like suave ok..that shit damages your hair..and maybe you can start putting a little bit of amke up on..like a little bit of i shadow and mascara and i liner...thats all in use..i dont use base or foundtaion in ruined me face..ii looked like a ghost...lol...but that doesnt mean you are..so try it and e-mail me with the update on how you look..

Hair- Blonde or light brown streaks, and if you always wear it in one style, try putting it in like cute styles or like a pony tail is girly.
Eyes- Lighter color contacts (not the glasses type, just the type that changes your eye color)
Clothes- Wear bright colors, it doesn't have to be pink, it can be a color that looks good on you. Try to avoid black and other dark colors.
Makeup- Maybe wear eye shadow that is the same color as your shirt, (it helps make you look girly) and wear the shiny lip gloss.

You could probably dye your hair brown, because that will give your eyes a really nice effect. But before you try the color brown, see how a blonde color looks.

Well, first off I'd just wear a cute pair of boot cut jeans and a fitted t-shirt, because that looks great on anyone. Try some classic skirts, or the bohemian look, which I adore- [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
This has a lot of bohemian staple clothing described that you can find really cheap at places like Kohls, Sears, or Target. If you prefer getting it at a specialty clothing store, go to Forever 21. This is the BEST store for the bohemian look, and the clothes are really, really nice and not preppy.
For your hair, I don't know how long it is, so I'll put down styles for all lengths-

I think Its cool to be preepy Its what the world realy needs.Girls who are girly sometimes are preepy.But if you want to be girly without being preepy just try not to act preepy and if you can`t your stuck with it.

Heyy try different shades of make up!the types of clotghes which are in at the moment are ethnic clothes try get soem of them.also accsessories cant go wrong wiht them.braclets,necklaces and rings go along way.clothes well skirts flipflops.these clothes are really nice.

Okay...Here are some tips:
HAIR:If your hair get's wavy easy I'd wear my hair like that.. But if it doesn't then...
When you get out of the shower and your hairs wet.. put garnier frutis surf girl hair gel in it then put your hair up in 2 high buns.. Go to bed with your hair like that and then take it out in the morning. It'll look really good
MAKE-UP:
EYES:Black eyeliner but put in on light.Pink eye shadow(eyeglide by revlon is the best)Then put black mascara on. If you want to be really preppy then put glitter on and around your eyes
LIPS:Get light lip glosse. Like the clearish kind. Try Smackers lip glosse.. It's really good
BLUSH:I don't wear blush but if you want to I'd just go with a really light tone.
CLOTHES:I shop at Hollister and Weathervane and stuff like that. Those are pretty preppy stores.. But Some of their stuff isnt so preppy. You should get nice jeans and a nice polo shirt. That would be cute..And not too preppy.

You can maybe add some highlights to your hair if you can.. um maybe not buy tight tight clothes yet if your not comfortable with it.. when i started coming out my tomby phase i began wearing tight shirts with big pants ot tight pants with big shirts.. til i felt comfortablt to wear tight shirts and pants together.. ♥ Dez

My sister's a lot like you are. By 7th grade she was ready to step into some more girly shoes without losing her sporty image.
She picked out a new fun hairstyle that was girly but functional. She thickened her bangs and got some angeled layers (that can still be pulled into a pony tail of course). She wears just a tad bit of make up. Some blush and mascara (when she feels like it).
My sister loves polos and jeans. Really, any fun fitted shirts will look great with jeans and tennis shoes or flip flops.
It doesn't take high heels and and lacy camisoles to look feminine. Really, anything you feel good in will be just fine!

You can put your hair in a bun or in 1 or 2 ponytails. I'm a tomboy, but I like wearing my hair down. But its not my decision on how you want to wear your hair. So, I suggest a plain, simple style like maybe get your hair wrapped and tie it up. Or, ask your mom if you could get your hair braided.It will be easier. Also, if you get it braided, don't get micro braids because your micros will fall out of your hair. Then you would be really embarassed!

get highlights in your hair. im thirteen and i was a tomboy too but now im more girly. so get highlights and wear a little make up too, but dont go overboard on the makeup maybe some lip gloss and eye shadow.

Maybe you get get your hair cut/layered & highlighted. Maybe dye it a lighter color, like brown. When you go to get it cut, just ask the lady what color would look good on you. If your hair is frizzy/curly, you can buy a straightener and straighten your hair. With clothes, if you wear shoes all the time, you can start wearing flip-flops (if you have good weather wear you live) or sandals. Don't use the excuse "But I hate my feet." You can always get a pedicure. If you're not into wearing skirts, or if thats too much of a drastic change, maybe buy some cute hip-hugger jeans (jeans with flip-flops can always be girly, but still casual). If you don't carry a purse or bag, maybe get a couple. They don't have to be Gucci, Prada, etc. Heck, Payless has some cute bags you can look at! As for tops, polos are cute, tanks, fitted tees, vintage tops. All those are cute and depending on what you wear them with, can be girly. Also, if you don't wear makeup, you can try wearing makeup.
