Resist the good stuff . I'm currently on a swim team and eatin much healthier, but today my friend and I went to the pool and she only brought sodas to drink it was very hot so I broke my 3 week chain of no sodas. I feel terrible, I also ate a few cookies, how can I keep from eating the bad stuff when the oppurtunities right in front of me? .. Ill rate :]

Next time you are going to the pool, bring a small cooler or bag full of water and healthy snacks. This way, when you get hungry or thirsty, you have healthy alternatives to junk food.
And don`t be so hard on yourself. It`s okay to have a few cookies once in a while ;) ]
well iv been on a diet for some time now and when im faced wih a problem as you are the i just think about how i really want to lose weight and i picture my self skinny that makes the cravings go away and if there is nothing else then have a cookie and soda but then you might have to work out a lilbit longer that week

ok this is really hard. i know i've tried. i had the same problem. my relatives went to picnic and all the people were pigging out on chips and sodas and all that. but i didnt want to eat any of it because i was on diet and exercising stage. so i just picked up a chip and was about to eat it so i threw it on the ground. (yea there is some self control there =)
well i know its hard. because i cracked too. popcorns and sodas...so i will probably say, its not bad to eat all those. just eat only a little.
my cousin used to eat the chips right out of the bag but now he only takes out certain amount and eat only that, and now he lost bunch of pounds.
see it doesnt matter if you eat snacks.
just eat only a little, and if you think you are eating too much, just DUMP it on the ground so you wont be tempted to.
i hope this helped. and if your mouth is craving for something, try eating those 100 cal only snacks, and fruits. but still, if you eat lot of those, it will do same affect as chips and sodas.
so keep in mind, little amount wont hurt you and eat healthy snacks instead.

well if your friend takes out a chips and you really dont want to eat it... tell your friend to spit on the food. not like drool but you know, the raspberry all over the food, so you will get grossed out before eating those and you WONT eat those lol

If you really dont want any just say so. But a little junk food here and there as a special treat won't do much. I have never had this problem but I'm sure I will starting the 21st.

o you can spoil yourself everynow and then, just dont make a habit of it, you can still have soda and cookies and mantain a healthy diet! dont worry so much ]
I can understand why you feel guilty, but I wouldn't really worry about it. It's OK to have sweets every once and a while. Besides, it's not like you're sitting around and doing nothing; you're on a swim team and you are working out. If your are presented with this opportunity again, it's OK to have a little something, just don't overdo it. Use self-control. Good luck. ]
first of all, don't sweat it too much. it was good that you lasted 3 weeks! so be happy w/ that.
but for next time, if you still want to be healthy, PLAN AHEAD and bring your own snacks and water
*give in to the urge occasionally because it will make you feel better but dont over-indulge*

make sure you keep it in control, but having some bad stuff should be okay for you. i know you eat healthfully most of the time and you are getting a good workout at swim, so just keep up with the good habits and the occasional bad is fine. =]

just dont over do it...strict diets dont get you anywhere. i dont drink soda cuz it kinda makes me sick, so if you want some, dilute it with water. gross, but good all at the same time. instead of avoiding, replace it with water or propel or something you can eat like fruit or somthing. <3 ]
The point is not to make such things a habit. It is perfectly fine to have a soda every once in a while or a cookie if that is what you REALLY want. If you don't feed the craving every once in awhile, you will start feeling deprived and unsatisfied with your diet. Just don't over do anything and you'll be fine. ]
They have rules for a reason! You don't drink soda and go into the pool, otherwise you will drown. Good going, you ruined your career. ]
omg your talking like you freaking did drugs, being on the swim team is really good exercise you can afford to ahve an occasional soda and cookies. being on a diet does not mean not eating anthing bad, it means not eating too much bad stuff. there is a spot on the food pyramid for candy/soda/etc 2-3 servings of it. ]
