I'm 15/f, and I want a job. I can't really get a job right now because I'm only 15 and most places hire when you're 16. I don't turn 16 until August, but I wanted to go ahead and get one so I can have money to go towards getting a car and other stuff. So, does anyone have ideas for what I could do or any places that hire at 15?
Oh, please don't say babysitter, lol. I'm terrible with kids. Thanks! =)
mAdiSoN_x_aLaiNe answered Saturday May 7 2005, 5:28 pm: Well, an allowance around the house would work. My parents paid me 10 dollars every Sunday. And yes, babysitting would be a great job, but you could just get a job like changing their diapers, watching them once a week, or like giving them baths.. You could get a job from someone you know, they could get you a job at .. McDonalds or something?
Hope I helped! xoxo [ mAdiSoN_x_aLaiNe's advice column | Ask mAdiSoN_x_aLaiNe A Question ]
Miaka001 answered Saturday May 7 2005, 12:40 pm: Okay, I was gonna say babysitter, but if your terrible with kids it's not gonna work. You could try toutoring people OUR age in a subject that your good in. Maby even in a fast food place, you can go check if they will hire you, it's not that long in till you turn 16.

Tay1002 answered Friday May 6 2005, 6:57 pm: Heyyy so jobs..hmm
you can work at an ice cream shop since that would be pretty fun. Go into the mall and work at like aeropostale or pacsun or somethin. or you can like work at mcdonalds even though that place is nasty *or at least i think so*. or you can tutor kids over the summer. uh i think like if you have a park district you can work there and like teach classes or be a coach for a sport if you like sports...yeah so good luck!!
Karen answered Friday May 6 2005, 7:28 am: Most fast food resturants will hire 15 year olds; you can work at Wendy's, McDonald's, Burger King, pizza resturants, Dunkin Donuts, and so on. Those are basically the only places that you can work at besides doing chores around the house to earn money. [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
S_C answered Thursday May 5 2005, 10:28 pm: Do you by any chance have a Chick-Fil-A nearby you? There's one close to where I live that will hire you at 14!! That's where I might work this summer if they're looking because I won't officially be 15 until November. Or I know here in NC you can go to your guidance office and if your grades are high enough, or if you're qualified, then you can get a workers permit.
But you're right, most places don't hire at 15, depends where you live. [ S_C's advice column | Ask S_C A Question ]
Michele answered Thursday May 5 2005, 10:26 pm: I know, driving is very expensive, car payments, gas, and insurance. Each state has different laws, I know in CT where I live, you can work at 15, in places like grocery stores and you can bag groceries.....yeah. But you can do better than that. If your are REALLY serious. Why not start your own business walking people's pet. A lot of seniors own pets, but they don't have the ability to walk them. And all pets, dogs that is, need exercise. And their owners know it. MAke up some flyers in your computer, put them in people's mail boxes, and wait for the phone to ring...... You'll be rich before you know it. If you live in or near a rich neighbor hood, you'll do just great. Dress nice and don't be fresh. Be very polite, and smile.
LostAngel answered Thursday May 5 2005, 10:06 pm: Well when my sister was 15 she was hired at Baskin Robin's (you know the ice cream place) and she was almost 16 at the time, I think it was a month or 2 before her 16th bday. I also know 3 ppl who are 14 or already 15 and they work at McDonald's. Look around and see what you could do.
gakkuhideto answered Thursday May 5 2005, 9:37 pm: Libraries. Seriously. Be a library page. It's awesome. And the one I worked for hired 14-year-olds, so that was cool. You'd definitely love it...it's really easy and fun. [ gakkuhideto's advice column | Ask gakkuhideto A Question ]
