Try soaking your feet and putting heavy lotion on at night and then put socks on - should make you feet softer. Try looking at your local drug store for a good lotion, I like bath & body works personally.

All the exfoilating and vaseline should work. Believe it or not, some olive oil would help too if its really bad. Lotion has alcohol in it and will dry your feet even worse. But if you put it on before you go to bed and put some socks on, then that will help.

S_C answered Thursday April 28 2005, 5:46 am:
You can get a petticure, they usually take of all or as much of the dry dead skin. Then to make sure it doesn't come back, you can exfoliate by rubbing sand all over your feel (like beach sand.) Me and a friend were up at a local park just rubbing sand on our arms and hands. It makes them really smoothe and it's a good easy and cheap way to exfoliate. Then you can rub body lotion on them.
Hope I helped. <3 Kate <3

rainbowsend answered Thursday April 28 2005, 12:51 am:
- Use a pumice stone or foot file (available in most drug stores- usually by nail files) to exfoliate all that icky dead crusty skin.

- Slather on a thick lotion then put on socks before going to bed.

- You could look for one of those foot masks at a drug store (or cosmetics section at wal-mart/target) Try one that's exfoliating or mouisturizing

- Bath and Body Works Body Butter is amazing for extra-dry skin. My aunt recommended it to my mom and me for feet, and after just one day of putting it on before putting on my socks for the day, my feet felt smoother.

- One idea I saw in a magazine once (though I've never actually tried myself) is to use a lemon and sugar- cut a lemon in half and sprinkle it with sugar, then rub it over your heels to exfoliate dead skin. Like I said, I've never tried it, but it might be worth trying if you like those DIY natural methods. Really, I think my foot file does a better job.

Michele answered Wednesday April 27 2005, 10:58 pm:
Well you can get pure lanolin at the pharmacy. It is made from lambs wool It is pure fat, but the way to use it is to slather it on, and then put heavy socks on,and wear them to bed. Vitamin E also works, and use the socks with the vitamin the same way. A moisturizer with shea butter or avocado oil will work well during the day to keep them smooth and soft. You may also have to use an exfoliant or pumice stone, to get the dead skin off, before moisurizing.
