If she is hitting you that's abuse and you need to tell someone. It could be the police, a counselor or a trusted adult but you need to get out of there right away. If she continues to hit then you could end up in the hospital. You need to get out of there ASAP.

xoxoPrettyNPinkxoxo answered Sunday April 24 2005, 6:22 pm: You should certainly tell someone like a trusted adult or like a couselor or someone like that because thats just not right. You do know that is child abuse and it is against the law. Also you may want to try to talk to your mom and tell her to stop. If that doesn't work tell someone else.

HoweveR, this is a big issue, so I shall tReat it as a seRious question: If she is physically abusing you, you need to absolutely positively take a stand foR youRself! Next time she lays a hand on you, you call the police! Also, it's a good idea to always keep like a dollaR in change in youR pocket at all times, that way if you feel you must leave, you still have a way to phone foR emeRgency help. Goodluck, Babe! I hope things manage to shape up! I wish you the best! [ Mackenzie's advice column | Ask Mackenzie A Question ]

iWALKintoWALLS answered Friday April 22 2005, 7:14 pm: you can do a lot of things...but the question really is what SHOULD you do:
1. go to your school counsolor and talk to them about it, they will be willing to talk about the choices you can make, you may be able to file a case
2. talk to your dad (if he's available) and tell him what is happening, he will more that likely not have any idea what is going on and will want to stop it
3. talk to any adult basically, teacher, friends mom, even police if you want to.
4. talk to her...tell her you dont understand she's doing this to you...but if your afrait of what might happen just go to a trusted adult and try here...
5. go to this website www.ndvh.org/
good luck...you'll be in my thoughts...
countryhunn4lyfe answered Friday April 22 2005, 5:54 pm: Well, i had the same problem..my mom and my dad are divorced so one weekend, i had enough of everything she did to me, so i told my dad when i went with him one weekend that i wasnt going to back with her..and he took her to court and everything and now i get to live with my dad and i dont have anything to do with that family...which is unfourtuante sometimes and i miss her like crazy, but it was the best thing to do..if that doesnt work then try to get someone to take you to a police station and you can show them bruises or marks from her and they will take care of it..i mean, is there anyone is your family that knows about this? If they do, get them to take you..hope i helped and things get better. [ countryhunn4lyfe's advice column | Ask countryhunn4lyfe A Question ]
