Hi,
I was just putting in some new clean bedding for my rabbit and I reached into the hay bag and a very sharp bit of hay got stuck in my hand, about 3mm in. I pulled it out and it bled. I've washed it and put a plaster on but I was wondering if I can catch any kind of infection from that? It's clean hay and I've had my tetanus jab. Should I put antiseptic cream on? And now or when it's healed a little?

That sort of stuff. Something like that would really help-trix [ bAhAmAmA0250's advice column | Ask bAhAmAmA0250 A Question ]
Karen answered Friday March 4 2005, 6:34 pm: If it's clean hay and you got this piece of hay out of your hand, then you are fine and you won't get an infection but you should put this cream on, right now, just in case, and keep using it.

Moop answered Friday March 4 2005, 6:27 pm: you're probably perfectly fine unless a teeny tiny piece got lodged in your skin during the removal. But it sounds like you pulled it all out immediately so just wash it with antiseptic often and you'll be fine. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
