well im terrified og surgery too. since he said you have a choice you ask him if you can get the surgey while you have anestisia (spelling) its a drug that makes you sleep. hope i helped! ]
It might be painful, but the doctor feels its time for those screws to be removed, so do it. Dont be scared, it cant be too painful otherwise they would put you to sleep, plus they might just numb the area where their removing the screw and you can just lay back and try not to think about what their doin. ]
I have had surgery while I was awake, and the answer is no. You may be awake, but they still use a injection that numbs the area. Just as when they drill a tooth. And you dont see whats going on. (just a random add in) ]
you need to be confident your in good hands i had an operation and i was ok ]
that happened to my grandfather. he broke both his legs, and his shoulder. he went through alot of sergery where he was awake, and he didnt complain once. ]
wow thats freaky, but i dont think u should be scared, if they know it would hurt, i dont think they would let you stay awake ]
No, it won't hurt. Your doctor wouldn't make you go through anything too painful. You will not be able to feel anything.
I had a friend who had to go through this on her knee, back when I was in 8th grade. She said she had the option of watching the surgery on a t.v. screen. But other than that, she didn't feel a thing. ]
i'm sure it won't hurt...they will probraly give you medicine to numb the pain. Trust me, they aren't going to torture you. If it's excpected to hurt they will put you on medication. ]
they will numb it..so u wont feel a thing! thats what they did to me wheni got stiches..it doesnt hurt..and i know removing screws and getting stiches are totally different things..but dont be worried..the doctor knows what he is doing!

Wouldn't hurt a bit.. as you would be under local and/or happy gas.. so you wouldnt feel a thing.. the only thing you can be concerned about is the ability that you will be able to watch them cutting your leg open and removing screws from it but not feeling a thing... you can always try and sleep through the proceedure.. it just wont be an induced sleep.. ]
They would give you something to numb it so you dont have anything to worry about you wount be able to feel it ]
i know what its like to have metal in you. lol, but the doctor will give you pain medicine and numming stuff. you wont be able to feel it. its better to have them out now instead of being at risk later. and unless you dont travel, its a pain to be searched at an airport.
