SiLKSTiTCHeS answered Tuesday March 1 2005, 3:14 pm: I find that if you put spoons in the freezer and then in the morning lay them on your eyes for about 5 minutes, they should go away. They do get cold and a little red for a few minutes, but once that is gone, so are the circles. Hope I helped.

JennyP23 answered Tuesday March 1 2005, 7:27 am: Circles under your eyes I'm assuming? Well of course you can use cucmber slices--those are supposed to reduce swelling I think. You could purchase one of those blue gel masks that you put in the fridge and wear it overnight or even just for a little bit as they recommend. And actually, I just heard this one on the Oscars (it is kind of weird) but I guess the movie stars put Preparation H under their eyes before they go to the Oscars because it reduces swelling. I don't know for sure if that works, but I'm assuming they know more than I do! Good Luck :) [ JennyP23's advice column | Ask JennyP23 A Question ]

VeLvtxRevoLvr213 answered Monday February 28 2005, 7:34 pm: I heard that you can take tea bags and soak them in warm water (like you were making tea) and then take them out after most of the color is in the water. Cool them off a bit and put them on your eyes for about 10 mins. Make sure they are decaffinated though, and you dont want to choose a dark tea, take a light one like green tea.

SouthernBarbieGirl answered Monday February 28 2005, 4:51 pm: put spoons in the freezer overnight! When you wake up in the morning put them on your eyes (almost like an ice pack) for just a few minutes. Then when you put on your makeup apply a lighter shade of base/foundation to your eyes. After apply eye make-up add extra powder around your eyes. [ SouthernBarbieGirl's advice column | Ask SouthernBarbieGirl A Question ]
MakalahLea answered Monday February 28 2005, 4:45 pm: Here are a few ideas that I got from doing a search on MSN.
How To Conceal Dark Circles
There is only one way to get rid of dark circles or discoloration under the eyes instantly use a product that covers them up. A lighter shade of regular makeup wont do the job. It must be a lighter shade of makeup made with Mica and Bismuth Oxychloride, which reflects light in your dark areas. The consistency of this special makeup should be lightweight and not oily, so as not to cause a build up of oil in any lines that may be in this area. Apply evenly and sparingly. I use a small makeup brush to apply it as the brush helps smooth it out evenly. You can apply a dark dircle cover directly on the skin itself or over a make up base. Whichever you do, make sure you powder over lightly. This sets the concealer, keeps it from settling into fine lines and gives it a more natural, finished appearance.
Chamomile, and particularly the Camillosan chamomile extract, has demonstrated anti inflammatory action in German studies and even proved comparable in effect to hydrocortisone in treating eczema type skin conditions, according to Commission E Monographs (Derma Es Aloe and Chamomile Skin Soothing Moisturizer are recommended products). Horse chestnut seed extract and vitamin K strengthen the capillaries, and they also show promise as anti-swelling agents (Ester C and K Creme Plus by Jason Natural Cosmetics are recommended products). Dip black tea bags briefly in boiling water, then cool and apply to your eyes.
How to get rid of dark circles permenantly:
Dark circles under the eyes are often related to toxicity in the body. Detoxification of the body, especially the liver, could be helpful. Lack of sleep, allergic reactions to foods, drinks or fabrics, too much alcohol and nutrient deficient diets can cause dark eye circles. Eating foods that are high in vitamins, proteins and blood purefiers(beets) can help you avoid a host of dermotological problems. Lightly tap, with one or two fingers, on and around these areas a few times a day. This will help stimulate needed circulation. Moreover, if you improve your nutritional intake, this tapping will also bring richer blood to these tiny blood vessels. Use an Alpha-Hydroxy Acid cream under the eyes to encourage circulation and stimulation of cells. (Do not put the Alpha-Hydroxy too close to the eye itself, as your eyes may tear, and never on eyelids). This also aids in tightening of the skin itself, which will give the appearance of lighter circles as the AHA plumps up the tissues. Use a rich Eye Cream to nourish these delicate tissues at night.

Karen answered Monday February 28 2005, 4:37 pm: There are a few ways to get rid of your dark circles. You can put cucumbers over your eyes and that helps; even though someone said it doesn't, it really does work. You can take two spoons, put them in the fridge for a little bit and then put them underneath your eyes and it will get rid of your dark circles. If none of those ways work, just cover them up with concealer and cover up.

jcpennypanties answered Monday February 28 2005, 4:34 pm: Sometimes, these dark circles, people have naturally, but if you havent always had them more than likely their curable, so if your one who doesnt have them naturally, try getting rid of them by getting good sleep, and drinking lots of water... As for covering them up in the mean time, wear covergirl stick, or just regular foundation. [ jcpennypanties's advice column | Ask jcpennypanties A Question ]

nvme21 answered Monday February 28 2005, 4:18 pm: First and foremost try getting more sleep. Dark cirlcles under eyes is a definte sign that you are not getting enough rest. As for products I know for a fact that LOREAL (I think that is how it is spelled...lol) has a "circle eraser" cream. I'm not sure of the price but I know its probably under $15 but over $5. It's pretty good but sometimes it takes more than enough time to see results. A more faster and 100% more effective product is by LANCOME. Which can be found at any department store like Macy*s and Sterns. But this is a lot more costly. And I mean a lot more. As far as home remedies go...I have yet to find one that actually works and is effective. I hope I have helped...Good luck on your quest to finding a dark circle eraser. ;> [ nvme21's advice column | Ask nvme21 A Question ]
