There is nothing healthy or pretty about damaged skin. it makes you get zits, because it increases oil production. plus the UVA rays. and uvb ray stuff
tanning bed makes all of that 15 times worse. and just because it doesnt happen immediatly, doesnt mean it isnt happening.
Judy101 answered Saturday February 26 2005, 1:46 pm: The best way to get a tan is in the summer under the sun because you will look natural. In the winter, everyone knows that you are pale because there is hardly any sun. Going to the tanning salon makes your skin look red and fake. Trust me i've seen people with red faces because of it. Just wait until the summer when you can look great and natural at the same time. [ Judy101's advice column | Ask Judy101 A Question ]

PrincezzMari answered Saturday February 26 2005, 12:01 am: a spray-on tan could work, as long as you do it evenly without overdoing it or getting it on your hair or something. a tanning salon isn't bad either, but i don't suggest you go lying in the sun all day 'cause the UV rays are REALLY bad for your skin. i hope i helped!!! =)
annka answered Friday February 25 2005, 11:31 pm: i say sun..tanning salon can really ruin your skin..even though sun can 2 a more higher risk of getting skin cancer is with tanning salon..also in the tanning salon u either get yellow after a while or get a bad shade of a tan..with the sun you only put sunblock and have a nice natural tan..of course you can burn if you dont put sunblock but even if you burn it will look more natural
xoPandaBabyxo answered Friday February 25 2005, 8:51 pm: I'd prefer Sun. I mean, cmmon, you could fall asleep in a tanning bed, lol. Just dont stay in the sun too long. You might get skin cancer. I hope I helped.
brunetteAmor answered Friday February 25 2005, 8:21 pm: I love going to tanning beds because you can do it even when the sun isnt out and it only takes like 20 minutes.. but tanning in the sun is probably funner. I think that you will probably get a better tan in a bed. [ brunetteAmor's advice column | Ask brunetteAmor A Question ]
azngemini answered Friday February 25 2005, 7:56 pm: they are both very bad for your skin, but I would suggest getting sun tanned. a safer way is to just use those imitation tanning products that you can buy in drugstores. they wont harm your skin the way that tanning does, and they'll still make you look great [ azngemini's advice column | Ask azngemini A Question ]
Karen answered Friday February 25 2005, 7:40 pm: I think getting tanned by the sun is the best way, since it's natural and you can always use baby oil to get darker. Going to a tanning salon is great too but if you fall asleep or go into a tanning booth for too long, you can get a rash. Any way is great to get a tan so decide what you want to do. Besides, tanning by the sun is free and you need to pay to tan at a tanning salon.
