Cleaning Delicates What are some ways to clean my dedicates like bras and pantyhose? They always come out tattered and deformed in the regular wash.

put it on gentle wash ]
Well, some dedicate bras are hand washed, thats why its not made for washing. I usually use soap and let it lay in water and then lay it flat to dry!! But, I have no idea about the pantyhoses. sorry! but I hope some of that helped! ]
handwash them with soap they should be fine ]
hand wash mild soap hang dry. ]
While Hand washing is highly recommended for delicates, I can't always tie up my bathroom sink for such a chore.
Purchase a rubbermaid dishpan to use for this, use lukewarm water, and a mild detergent, woolite is great for this.
pretreat stains, and soak for 24 hours, then cold water rinse.
If you are as impatient as I, I use the delicate cycle in wash with a warm wash/cool rinse, and then line/air dry NEVER use the dryer, it ruins the lace, and elastic! Hope this helps ]
Everyone seems to be on the right track, but I'll give a little more detail. :)
Heat damages elastic and some delicate fabrics. So do bleach and most regular detergents. Baby detergents, like Dreft, or special fabric detergents like WoolLight, are good for delicates. If you have white bra's that you want to stay very white, add baking soda instead of bleach. If you have a full load, use 1/2 a cup. Nothing bad happens if you also have black items in the wash, or if you use too much baking soda.
If your going to use a washing machine, make sure it has a cold/cold temperature setting and a slow/slow wash setting. Sometimes they have extra slow, and that works too. If the machine doesn't have those settings, hand-wash instead.
If the bra's have hooks, make sure they are closed. I really like the small, zippered shut mesh bags for delicates. I put one bra per bag. It's cheaper to get the bigger ones though. If you get the ones big enough for multiple items, make sure the bra's are in a separate bag from the panty hose, just in case the bra's unhook. The pantyhose should not be bunched up (when they're bunched they tend to collect any lint that might be floating around). I have quite a few washable silk items that also go in this load.
To dry the bra's, unhook them and hang them up. My mom has a clothes line, but I toss them over the shower curtain bar until they stop dripping, and then hang them on doorknobs (usually because someone wants to actually take a shower in the shower before the bra's are totally dry).
Pantyhose I'll frequently leave in the bag and toss into the dryer alternating low heat and air dry. This is also how I dry the silk. None of those take very long - I'll usually do 10 min of air, low, air and they'll be done. Alternatively, pantyhose also dry quite well when hung in pairs from the clips on skirt hangers (from anything you can get that hanger to hang on - as long as there is some air moving around it).
Hand-washing is pretty simple, especially for delicates. Special fabric detergents like WoolLight have instructions on the container. If you want directions for hand-washing, please ask. ]
hand wast them then leave them like on an old fashion wire thing that you hang clothes on and let them dry. i had the same problem lol!

You can either put them in a pillow case or something related to that and throw them in the wash like that. That way they still get clean the the pillow case ist he only thing getting thrown about by the washer. Or you can do like I've done. I fill the sink up with hot water and I put some washing detergent in the sink and hand wash them clean. Then if I feel like I should, I'll put them in the dryer or I'll hang them on a hanger and let them dry on their own. But if you have the time and money, you could get them dry cleaned but that will get expensive for you. Hope I helped. ]
I have this jersey net bag that I put all my delicates in and then put them in the washer and they're fine. But if you have time it's better just to hand wash them.. If you don't want to do that there's a delicate cycle on the washing machine. ]
There are 2 options.
1) Handwash them all. I usually handwash anything made of silk or other very delicate materials with fairy handwash soap that you use for babies washing!!
2) Shove them all in a pillowcase and whack them in on a 30-40 degree wash with gentle spin.
Hope this helps!!
