To stay in top physical shape, its best to let your muscles rebuild before tearing them down again. Its not the exercise that tones or builds muscle its the repair they do after words. Once you exercise you stress a muscle. The muscle repairs itself by growing harder or bigger depending on whether you are exercising the fast twitch cells (for size) or slow twitch cells (tone and endurance) I recommend never working a body part till it has had time to heal or you will just be wasting your time.

Everyday is fine for about 20-30 minutes. If you can't do it everyday, then try 45-60 minutes 4-5 times a week. And don't forget your cardiovascular. You may think it's important because you're "only toning," but, believe me, toning inside is as important, if not more so. By the way, I heard a long time ago that situps are only good if you want to hurt your back. Crunches are the best for your stomach muscles. That's just a bit of trivia you might want to check out. Weights are not always necessary unless you want to sculpt also. Hope I helped.

Yup, toning everyday is alright. You could also tone 3-4 times a week. It all depends on you and how many times you want to tone. You don't have to do wieghts at the gym if you don't want to. Hope I helped :)

It really depends on how athletic you are. If you are really athletic and do many things then yeah you probally should work out everyday. If your not then just try to maybe work out once every week or every-other day. The same thing goes with weights also. Hope I helped! xoxo -*Carly*-

Everyday is fine. About 20-30 minutes. If you do it every day then your body will get used to it and perhaps you can increase your time a little bit. You don't HAVE to lift weights in the gym unless you're searching to get muscles and muslce strength. If you're just looking to get tone, you should be fine without weights. Hope i helped

I've always heard that doing approx. 20-30 minutes a day of situps, crunches, squats, and lunges is a really good workout. That's what I did when I was actually disciplined enough to work out!Haha! ;) As far as the weights, that's really up to you.If you're looking for more muscle definition in your arms and/or legs that's definitely a great thing to do.I reccomend checking out Seventeen magazine's Seventeen Trainer section. They have some really great exercises that I've tried and found to actually work!Hope this helps some!!! :)

PrincezPeach08 answered Sunday January 23 2005, 1:00 pm:
You should do it daily, so that your body gets used to this routine. But DO NOT over do it, because you could seriously get hurt. Doing situps, crunches...etc is fine, so you don't need to go do weights in the gym, because that is one way to over do it. I mean you could go there once in a while, but you don't and should'nt do it daily like situps. About 30min of crunches and situps a day and that'll be good!
Hope I helped!
