Making money...

Question Posted Monday January 17 2005, 8:22 pm

I'm 16 years old and I seriously need a job. I worked at Target over the summer and retail is...just definitley not my thing. Are there any jobs you can suggest where I can make money, but don't involve retail? Also, what are some good ways to make LOTS of money?

Gambling. If you play poker or hold'em with alot of people, you wont have to bet much but the winnings will always be high.

But if you suck at card games or betting on hockey then be a seating host or that pimply loser dude that stocks equipment in stores.

At 16 i think your options are kinda limited to really just retail. unless you work at an office filing papers or something.

As a 16 year old, most places won't let you wait tables (they either hold out for 18 or 21 even so you can serve liquor), but you should be able to find a place or two that will allow you to apply for busing tables.

Grocery stores are a standby, but it's mostly retail unless you're male, in which case you may find yourself doing gruntwork in the back room, and anyway the pay isn't good at all.

If you live in a subdivision or other fancy schmansy housind district, see if the district clubhouse (or golf course) has any open spots - it'll be close to home and probably a relatively easy job.

Good summer jobs are lifeguarding and being a camp counselor. Both require some training and general interest in your job, but they are good, steady, secure jobs and pay well, too.

Do you live around alot of families??? Babysitting is good tax free money. I know people who are always looking for sitters. For after scool, at night whenever. You could make $10 dollars an hour and it's tax free. (Assuming you are not doing drugs, alcohol, etc.)

It all depends on how many dicks you can handle in one night, and what percentage your pimp takes.

You could try to work at a fast food place. They're always hiring. They'll give you enough hours because they never have enough people working, so you can take a lot of shifts (my work is like that :( )but honestly, there's not many places you could work at and get a LOT of money because your only 16. Best thing to do stay in school!!! That will lead you to goooood money. *goodluck*

well, my favorite would be hair. Do you know how to braid or do beautiful styles? You could color hair and everything. That's the only good thing I have now. Sorry. But I hope I helped any.
