My favorite pair of light jeans..

Question Posted Thursday January 13 2005, 6:19 pm

Over the weekend me and my friend got in a fight with a permanet marker, she accidently got some on my light pair of jeans and it won't come out. I washed them and put SHOUT stain remover on them twice but it still won't come out. Do any of you have any suggestions? My jeans are really light, so I dont wanna to ruin there color or anything, and if I bleach them, then I'll lose the color in that spot. Please help.

It will be there probably a long while. Other suggestions might be hairspray or acetone. But the acetone may make a spot or a hole. Maybe you add a few more marks in different colors? At least then it would look like you did it on purpose.

I don't know if this will work, but you might try rubbing alcohol. It gets permanent marker off of/out of everything else...I found that out the hard way. Lol. It shouldn't bleach the jeans, but it might be able to get the marker out. If not, try nailpolish remover...Or just keep washing them. It should fade eventually. I hope this helped! -Siren =)

at one time, there were "bleach pens" sold in the supermarket. I haven't seen them in ages, but they for situations like this. If you can find one of those, or apply the bleach with a cue-tip, it will limit the bleaching action to a small area. However, it is bleach, so the original color of the jeans won't be there either.

There is also Clorox Color Safe Bleach, but I've not used it, so I don't know if it works.

A real permanent marker isn't going to come out, however, a lot of "permanent" markers aren't, so you've got a chance. :)

Isn't there some type of soda like thing that gets it out. GOSH, I can't think of the name. I got eyeliner on a pair of my light jeans (don't ask) and it still hasn't come out, but the more I wear them the lighter it gets. Even though it's permenant it could still possibly come out. Just try other methods. There's this one girl who got pen off a purse using hand sanitizer, she told me it gets out all stains... I'm not sure about that, I've never tried, but I guess you could. Sorry I'm not much more help then this.

I think it'll eventually come off sooner or later, just by washing them like a thousand times but that can ruin the colour and make them look faded. You can try talking them to the dry cleaners, it's not that expensive. *goodluck*

Since it's a permanent marker, I'm not sure if it will come out right away, but eventually it should wear off. My family uses "Carbona: Stain Wizard". You put it on the pants right before you put it in the wash and it works really well. You can try it and see how it works..♥

the stain will eventually come out with simple wear. only aboutn a month. if not, just cut and fray the jeans there and walk around with a stylish pair of cut jeans

there is nothing you can do about it. notice what you said.. "a permanent marker". Hence the stain will be there forever.

no but seriously, you wont be able to get it out.
