i have the exact same problem- too little room to much stuff- but im fixing it what you need to do is go through everything and get rid of as much as you can part with, if you are like me you have trouble parting with stuff, but remember- you really wont miss it,and youll will be much happier with your room when its gone, do this about every six months to a year so you dont overload- then go to the local art/craft type of shop and buy some boxs- little ones about the size of shoeboxs some smaller and larger work too, you want to buy them cheap but stylish so that you can have them around your room and not just hidding in your room, store things in them like playing cards nail polish etc. also get larger under the bed boxes for off season clothes and blankets
MY ADVICE: get rid of as much as you can part with, organize with storage boxes and types of clothing

Shoe boxes for the little things. i have make up and nail polish and things like that that i put in shoe boxes. u can keep them neatly under your bed or in you closet. There are those nice totes that i use too. for things that you want to keep but dont want to have on shelves. i have a dresser in my bedroom and have a junk drawer in it and i put things on top of it.

Do you have a garage? If you do, put some stuff in there. If not, have a yard sale! Sell things you don't want and you can make lots of money too. It's an excellent way to organize your stuff and get rid of the stuff you don't need and get new stuff you DO need! Hope I helped! Best of luck with it!

What you need to do is go through everything and find out if you really want something. There are probably clothes and stuff that you don't use or like anymore. Once you get rid of a lot of things, you'll find more space. Good luck!
Hope I helped!

Organization is a big problem, especially in small rooms. You need to make the most of your space.

On TLC, they have a show called Clean Sweep, which helps people get organized. They do this mostly by purging (or getting rid of) stuff that they don't absolutely need. You could watch this show for ideas.

One book about organizing I really like is Called "Organizing from the Inside Out for Teens." It is by Julie Morgenstern and her teenage daughter Jessi Morgenstern-Colon. This book shows you how to not only organize your space, but also your time, and life in general. This book says that organizing doesn't always mean getting rid of stuff. It will help you figure out your organizing problems and find solutions to them. I definately recommend it.

While this is definately a last resort, you could always hire a professional organizer to help you with your room.

My Ideas:
-Take a weekend and clean your room. Use Friday after school to clean it, then Saturday and Sunday throughly clean out your closet, dresser, and shelves or cabinets. If there is things u no longer want, need, or that no longer fit you then put them in big bags and donate them to GoodWill or some other charity. If you get rid of some of the excess stuff, then you will have more space to work with. Also throw away useless items or things that are so old no one would want them.
-For more closet space you could invest in hanging garment shelves and you could fold your shirts instead of hanging them.
-Bring stuff off your floor and put it on your walls. Make use of wall space by putting up shevles or hanging cabinets.
-For out of season clothes storage use under the bed rolling bins.
-Get an armoire or standing closet for more clothes space.
-Spruce up your room every night before you go to bed.
-Use Plastic contaniers for your stuff, and stacking plastic drawer chests for your stuff.
-You could take out your closet doors, and hang an curtain for easier acess to your clothes.

hope you can understand my rambling! lol I hope some of this advice helps. I really would suggest getting that book! I promise it'll help ALOT! Feel free to ask any more questions!

Good thing i could help you on this. I have alot of clothes and alot of stuff. I went through all my clothes that i barely where that I could give to the needy. I gave away like half a drawer... it helped. I didnt really have a closet.. it was like a cabinet.. which is also where i put my clothes.. so it was a dressar and closet combined. My room was actually so small before i moved my family thought about turning it into a walk in closet.. emberassing i know :- but i got these clear drawer things from like wal-mart or whatever and they are white n clear and have wheels. They have like 3-4 drawers. Just get those are get shelves-trix hope I helped-plz rate!

you could probably clean up your room..everywhere..and then buy a closet that you can put in your closet..like i have one, it comes with shelves and eeverythign and it works great..you could get that and organize your closet! and then maybe you could get cubes to put your clothes in and stuff.

hey sweetie! u should take a trip to one of my favorite stores: CONTAINER STORE. Hopefully they have one around where you live because i think its a nationwide chain. Anyways if not you can probably find a store that sells organizational stuff. You can go crazy at the store and buy cute shelves, organizers, bins, and tubs to put your stuff into. Some of these are small enough to fit under your desk and some will fit in your closet. The nice thing about the bins is that you can stack them so they will take up less space. Anyways i hope this helps a little and good luck !!!
