dogs should NOT eat charcoal and that is most likely why he is throwing up. ]
Where would a dog get charcoal? ...And isn't it poisonous?
KEEP HIM AWAY FROM IT ]
umm my dog doesnt do that, eating charcaol and i dont really think its normal. i used to have a rotweiler who had 2 tumors on its head but it didnt eat charcaol
from the monkeys ]
your dog should not be eating Charcol , your going to like kill it ]
when a child sometimes eats something that is a poison, their parents or even a doctor with make them eat liguid charcoal, because it cause a person to vomit. the same thing is happening to your dog. they have a way of takeing care of themselves so he maybe doing that because he feels sick and eating charcoal and vomiting is making him feel better. ]
Um.. he eats charcoal? And you're worried because he's throwing up? Okay, if he eats charcoal, it's a GOOD thing he's throwing it up, because that means he is getting it out of his body (CHARCOAL IS BAD FOR DOGS). And yes it is normal for a 12 year old dog to have arthritis. 12 is pretty old for a dog.. it's like 84 in human years. And trust me, plenty of 84 year old men have athritis and it's totally normal. ]
Charcoal is bad for dogs, thats why he threw it up..Try to keep him away from those things ]
Eating charcoal is not normal. When an animal even a human starts craving weird things it usually means that new food has a substance in it that they need. Try giving your dog a canine multi-vitamin. They have various formulas and you can even get a suggestion from your vet which ones would be best for your dog. All older dogs have special needs and should be watched closely for odd behavior. A lot of times this will be the only way you an catch an illness in time to save their lives. Younger dogs are stronger and missing a few signs can usually be overcome. But I think your dog just needs some extra vitamins. Good Luck! ]
hes really old...i know its hard....i had a dog since i was a baby and she got a tumor and had stuff wrong with her heart...we wanted to put her out of her misery and jsut put her to sleep instead of having her suffer....maybe thats what you need to do...remeber dog years are multiplyed by 7...so your dog is 12x7...which is very old....if shes in pain and suffering i think you should consider puttting her to sleep...even though it will be sooo hard but remeber its for her.....you wouldnt want to be suffering would you? talk to your parents about it...and ask them if they would let you get a new dog after you did it....but if thats out of the question and you dont wanna put her to sleep....to answer your question...no its not normal....see a vet a.s.a.p ]
my dog only eats grass when she has an upset stomach. but no its not noraml for them to eat charcol. take him to the vet for a check up. ]
if a dog eats anything that is not soppose to be eaten by dog then it is normal for them to puke it up. hope i helped! ]
nah that's not normal.. does your dog still do that? if so, take it to the vet because i'm sure dogs aren't supposed to eat charcoal. ]
he shoudln't eat charcoal..and i don't think it caused the arthritis..cuz animals get arthritis when they get old..as do people..my cat is like 12 and she can barely move cuz of arthritis..i would keep the charcoal out of his reach to prevent him from getting sick. Hope i helped! Hope your dog gets better..-kittygurl90 ]
Aww, I feel so bad :( No, that's not normal for your dog to be eating charcoal. Definitely bring him to the vet. Hope I helped :)

I doubt that's normal. My dog doesn't do it, the only weird thign he eats is veggies. Idk exactly whats wrong with him but i don't think the charcoal gave him arthritis because he threw it back up :o/
Good Luck! Hope you dog feels better! ]
