XSugarPieX77 answered Wednesday December 15 2004, 10:18 pm: Start walking every day, DO NOT WATCH T.V FOR MORE THEN AN HOUR IN ONE SIT. Eat healthy foods. Dont eat chips, oils, cookie dough, umm hmm and eat lots of veggies, try cutting down your perportions during meals. Maybe join a gym. Once you get used to walking about 2 miles a day hopefully u can, start jogging. Have a friend join you so that your not by yourself and you have some support!

For every pound you lost drop a dollar in a jar..bet in a few weeks(men lose 2 times as fast as women) you will have some money to join a gym!
Ps you are so tall...you will drop even faster..you CAN do this. I promise in a week you will lose 3-5 pounds..then 1-2 after that..more if you walk! [ dinoold's advice column | Ask dinoold A Question ]
Daisy answered Wednesday December 15 2004, 7:07 am: The best weight loss programme is not to stop eating but to change some of the bad food you eat into good food. Also if you drink loads of water that will fill you up. Do excercise. That doesn't mean you have to jog but just walk fast until you break out in a sweat and do that for 20 mins/hals an hour a day. Also try not to eat any carbohydrates after 5pm stick to grilled lean meat, steamed veg and fruit after that time. Good luck! [ Daisy's advice column | Ask Daisy A Question ]

A-reynolds-C answered Tuesday December 14 2004, 3:05 pm: My uncle has lost alot of weight from the diet that you have after surgery! All you gotta do is ask for the plan after the surgery without the surgery from your doctor!
I hope this helps!

netsirk07 answered Tuesday December 14 2004, 2:54 pm: Hey I feel your pain my friend is really over weight and my suggestion is to eat less by when you feel that urge to eat, go look in a mirror and when you do eat, take very small bites and chew it for a long time. it takes usually 20 min for your stomach to say its full. your also really tall!!! wow 6'11!!! wow go to this website [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) also this [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
i researched but also tell your mom and dad this and see if you can go to a weight loss camp and if you can then reallllly work out
i would also exersise as much as i can. i know this is weird but when your sitting then scrunch your butt and legs and when your lieing down then do some sit ups (when your in bed) when you have free time then go in a seperate room so you dont feel embarassed with people looking at you and exersise and if you dont have a tred mill then RUN in place!! in gym do your best for you, your family and friends.!!
do this so that you dont die and think about getting that surgery its VERY necisary!!
**I HOPE I HELPED A LOT** good luck!! :(

Alin75 answered Tuesday December 14 2004, 7:35 am: Seriously, people here dont know what they are talking about. For Petes sake beware the crap (and potentially dangerous) advice some people have given before me.
First of all lets get something straight, weight loss has to be gradual and permanent. For this you need a lifestyle change where you create a small calorie deficiency in your meals and increase your activity level. Let me tell you a few things that are INCORRECT that you may hear, "you need to go on a special diet", "running is the best excercise to lose weight", "doing crunches helps you lose weight on your stomach", "eat only lettuce or cardboard or tuna", "dont eat after xxx time in the day" etc. Here are some real issues you should consider regarding excercise and eating.
1- Eat small meals three to five times a day (eating fequently, but not excessively, elevates your metabolism), 2- Eat balanced meals (seriously NOT a Tuna diet) and avoid saturated fats (such as animal fats found in butter, lard etc), 3- Create a small calorie deficiency (this can be done scientifically or by trial and error- a good tip is to always feel just a bit hungry when you go to sleep), 4- Dont starve yourself 5- Try to introduce regular weeekly workouts (I have to emphasise that the best thing here is doing WEIGHTS not running, they are superior for sliming down due to their effect upon the metabolism- doing both is even better of course). Remember also that many diets make you lose weight through water loss (which is quickly regained), or by devouring your muscle mass. Anything much more than a couple of pounds of weight loss per week is probably not fat (or not JUST fat), and thus unhealthy. Join a gym if you can afford it and try to build up some lean muscle mass (every pound of muscle requires a certain amount of calories to sustain it- this means you burn calories in your sleep- aerobic exercise does not do that). Hope this helped, and best of luck to you. [ Alin75's advice column | Ask Alin75 A Question ]
Shaylee answered Monday December 13 2004, 11:25 pm: This is a tricky one as you aren't supposed to lose that much weight so fast, start by taking it slowly, change your diet straight away to involve very little fat lots of veggies, fruits and lots of water- no fast food or anything.
Then for exercise, depending on how fit you are (yes you can be fit and fat) will depend on how much you can take. I suggest a minimum of 30 minutes aroebic exercise every day. If you were fit this could include a few kilometers run, but if not it could simply mean a walk around the block. You can make this fun by taking a friend along for company- or instead of doing it the boring way incorporate it into your routine- walk a dog, organise something which includes a bit of running around. Not sitting down or anything. Then as your endurance builds up you can up the workouts.
Don't jump into anything, don't decide to give up Krispy Kremes if they are you all time favourite food in the world. The idea is moderation and every day you succeed give yourself a little treat. Not a full mud cake but a little chocolate bar or something.
This is very simple advice but if you follow it you will get results I assure you, however I think it would be advicable to follow the doctors advice if the situation worsens in any way. [ Shaylee's advice column | Ask Shaylee A Question ]
