There is a small chance that she has some problems. Sometimes they loose fur and nothing happens. She may be grooming that area too much, it's happened with my hamsters. One hamster will make the other one have bald spots sometimes! I don't think it's serious. You can ask a vet or look it up online if you are still curious.

Well, your hamster is two years old. And that is a little old for a hamster. The bald spot could be a sign that it is just getting old. Not a big deal.

Hamsters live very short lives, usually 2-4 years. I've had a hamster with that same problem, and I dont know how to break it to you, but your hamster is aging. it'll keep doing that until it finally deceases. I'm very sorry, but its the way of life. Just remember that it's not your fault.

she might be dying :( Hamsters usually only live 1-2 years.. or it could be something else, maybe you should take her to a vet

It probably doesn't have to do with what your feeding her. Hampster's don't live that long, mine only lived for about a year or so. Sorry sweetie he is probably making a turn for the worst. If you are really concerned you may want to take her to the vet. But if not just try to make her comfortable on her last days. Sorry babe! <3 Ryah

She is probly just sheding. My old dog used to have bald spots from allergies and he would scratch himself. Just keep an eye on her.

Daisy answered Wednesday December 8 2004, 2:24 pm:
She might have fleas or a skin problem and is scratching that part of her back and is losing fur. Just take her to the vet and they can sort it out. It's nothing serious, don't worry.
