Convince them that you really ARE ready to get a pet. I mean, most parents refuse to get a pet because they think that they'll have to take care of it. Take care of a neighbor's pet or something like that and show them that you're responsible enough to get a pet of your own because they know that you will be taking care of it, not them. I hope you get a pet and take care!

First thing is first. Guys are misunderstood creatures, and nobody knows whats going through their head except for maybe other guys. I doubt that its you thats the problem because he would be avoiding you. Sit him down one day and ask whats up. Maybe something happened with his family, or maybe hes overstressed. Either way, talk to him about it and hopefully he'll open up.

My parents keep the house so so so so so cold...I'm always freezing and it's the middle of the winter...it's always like 60 in here, and I've told my parents so many times that I'm SO cold when its that cold, but they don't care. They say that they are comfortable that way, and that if they turn it up they will be too warm. I'm not the only one who thinks its too cold...friends or relatives who come over say its so cold! But, they don't have to live here!!! I DO!! What do I do??? (link)

Wear sweaters all the time! Okey, so maybe thats not the best answer. But, you know the air vents on the ceiling in your room? Close the airvent. That will prevent any cold air from coming into your room. Close your door and air vent, and most of the heat will stay in your room. Hope I helped.

Good Charlotte came out with a new CD and I looked at one and it said that it was named The Chronicles of Life and Death-Life Version then a few days later I saw one and it said The Chronicles of Life and Death-Death Version, so I'm wondering what is the difference between the two besides the ending. Since you're kinda quiet, its kind of hard to make friends at school. Anyways, try to be more social. Go do sports or join a club. Try your very hardest to talk to people more. Everyone is welcome here in this world, and remember that. Somehere at your school will probably be a person who will be your best friend, and I will garuntee that. Hey everyone. I have my own column, but I can't answer my own question. I met a guy online back in May or around that time. We didn't talk much until now, and we've gotten soooo much closer. We both think we're soulmates and meant for each other. Even though I haven't met him, I feel this connection, and it's really cool. I just don't know what to think though, because I hear all those stories on the news and everything, and it really scares me. What if he's a rapist or a serial killer or something?! I really don't think he is, because of some of the conversations we've have, but there's always that chance. I just want to know you're opinions on this, and what I should do about it. Take a deep breath, and dont worry about it. Dont worry about the people who are watching you. If you have to look directly at them, look straight above their heads. Not the, "hey look, your hair is sticking up" kinda stare, but just stare directly above their heads and do what you have to do. Good luck on your audition!

Well, to me, 13 is usually the most common age to start babysitting, since people are going into that "teenager" stage stuff...and, for an hour? I think maybe like 10 bucks or something like that. Its just an hour, anyways.

I didn't really get to know my boyfriend before I started to date him (smooth move on my part). It turns out that he has totally different values than I. I haven't really told him that I despise drinking with the sole purpose of getting sloshed, and that people who smoke weed piss me off to no end...among other things.
I'm wary to address the issues though 'cause I don't want to hurt his feelings. He cries more easily that I do, which is weird, 'cause we're both 17.
Should I just let this go or confront him on it?

Wow, this is a really big issue in relationships, but I'll take a crack at it...
Just so you know, I dont think its a very good idea to date someone you dont really know yet. But, anyway, I think you should confront him, but do that gently, since he cries easily and all. Just tell him your values and tell him that your pride in those things are very strong. If he's the one, he'll consider that talk and he'll understand. Get more social. Get with your girlz and just hang out. If you hang out with them and have fun, and focus less on your boyfriend, then it'll just slip off of your mind. I'm not saying that I want him to get out of your mind competely, but it helps. Trust me.

Okay this may sound really dumb or something but it really needs to be answerd cause i really need the help.My friend had wanted to kill herself and then her mom had put her into a center to get the help that she needs(good for her!!).But the problem is that she is on drugs and she drinks a lot and she is only 12 or 13 years old.Well i tries to kill myself a few weeks ago and now i'm fine but my question is that should i be her friend still and hang out with her even though that she wanted to do something that i tried?Cause my fear is that she will want me to think of doing that again?Plzz help.

I dont know if you should really be friends with her anymore if shes out there getting drunk like an old @ss. But even though you're not her friend ((or at least you shouldnt be)) I think you should get help for her. I mean, nobody needs to be drinking at that young of an age. So, try to get some help for her, and maybe it will make her future just a little bit brighter.

Awee!! Anyways, sometimes when two people go out, it takes a while for them to adapt to it. It just takes time. Dont rush him or else the relationship will not last long. So, like I said, dont try to rush it, because maybe he's just scared or something. And another thing, do you have his phone number? Because over Winter Break, you can call him and stuff. If your lil bro's babysitter is physically or verbally abusing him, you need to tell your parents. your lil bro doesnt deserve to have a babysitter who will yell and scream at him and torture him all night.
