Pessy answered Thursday December 16 2004, 7:00 am: The fright or the "butterflies" is just extra energy your body keeps in. You wouldnt be doing what your doing if you werent afraid...take a deep breath before you go on...all your are feeling is spare adrenaline.
Thats just my take on stage fright, hopefully it will put it in a different perspective.

Berri answered Monday December 6 2004, 7:27 pm: Yeah!!...I'm gonna' be in a play soon too! Okay, 1.)Pretend like it's real life. 2.)Deep breathes before you go on. 3.)KNOW YOUR PART AND KNOW THAT YOU KNOW IT! 4.)There are these things called the Mao (sp.) exercises....My drama teacher makes us do 'em...She says they keep you from getting nervous. You might wanna' look 'em up. But really....If you're passionate about what you're doing, once you get out there, you'll have a blast and won't be nervous at all. Kels answered Monday December 6 2004, 7:00 pm: believe in yourself, or just stare at one person in the audience the whole time! maybe a good friend that always supports you and who wont make u laugh!
but most of all believe in your self and if you mess up keep on goin! you're the best!!
Hope This Helps
