u should go up to people in random public places and talk to them. if u start to do that more and more, then stage fright will be no problom! i know that sounds dumb, but it works! ;-)

The fright or the "butterflies" is just extra energy your body keeps in. You wouldnt be doing what your doing if you werent afraid...take a deep breath before you go on...all your are feeling is spare adrenaline.
Thats just my take on stage fright, hopefully it will put it in a different perspective.
Break a leg.

Yeah!!...I'm gonna' be in a play soon too! Okay, 1.)Pretend like it's real life. 2.)Deep breathes before you go on. 3.)KNOW YOUR PART AND KNOW THAT YOU KNOW IT! 4.)There are these things called the Mao (sp.) exercises....My drama teacher makes us do 'em...She says they keep you from getting nervous. You might wanna' look 'em up. But really....If you're passionate about what you're doing, once you get out there, you'll have a blast and won't be nervous at all.

believe in yourself, or just stare at one person in the audience the whole time! maybe a good friend that always supports you and who wont make u laugh!

but most of all believe in your self and if you mess up keep on goin! you're the best!!

Hope This Helps

Good Luck!

I got that same prob. I actually did my play today and when practicing i was stuttering so bad and when i was in the spotlight i was the first one to speak and i had to speak to the audience and the ONLY one on stage to.. but what i did was just look straight to the very back and then i started to look for someone i new and i became comfortable but then when i was talking to other actors.. i was just pretending it was real life.. try that if u need more tips just lemme no cuz i got lots up my sleeve

ahh stage fright.. i get like that when i'm singing. there's no pressure on u so don't worry about it! don't let it show that your nervous, because then everyone will know! you just gotta pretend nobody is there.. act like your acting in the mirror.. i hope i helped !

Sing some songs and/or act in front of your family. When your on stage pretend like no one is watching you. Thats what I did and it worked for me!
