Get your brother some new guitar pics or strings. Maybe he would like some CD's. Ask him what bands he likes if you don't know already. And about your dad..ask him what he wants! Think about what he likes to do, and just go from there! Good luck :P

My ex was a bass player. He worshiped Steve Harris of Iron Maiden. Most guitarist have an idol or some influincial band. Go on ebay or to a flea market and see if you can find something old and rare that ties in with your brother's faves. That kind of gift it's usually the hunting, not the cost that makes it special.

No clue about your dad, mine loves chocolate and socks.

You know what you can get your brother a CD of his favorite band or a shirt that has something to do with music. For your dad it could depend, maybe you can get him a gift certificate to his favorite restaurant or a good smelling calone or however you spell it like Burberry which isnt very expensive.

You can get him a new guitar strap or an extreamly large box of picks. Picks picks picks! Guitarists love picks! Go into his room and find a pick and look at it. If it's a fender pick it will say Thin, Medium or Heavy. Whichever one it is, you buy that really large box of picks! For your dad, hmm... this is a tuffy. You can get him a tie (My daddy loves ties) or give him a card that says something like "I'll clean the bathroom for a week or I'll do better in school" or something like that. What I got my dad for his birthday was a tie (duh) and a card that said that I'd always be his little girl. You could do that too. (If you're a chick... your question didn't say if you were a guy or a girl) You could also buy him a greatetst hits CD of his favorite band. Hope this helped.

Guys are impossible to shop for, arent they? I'm starting to run into the same problem. I'd say buy your brother something guitar-related. My cousin playes the guitar as well and last xmas my family got her the Beetles SongBook. She seemed to really like it, plus its useful for practice. As for your dad...cologne or shaving stuff always works. HOpe this helps!
