I didn't know where else this would go...
Um...okay, I have to wear a helmet to ride on rollerblades, a skateboard, and a bicycle. It sucks. I was wondering if anybody knew of a way I could convince my mom to let me ride without a helmet, because mine is really big and it has this visor, and I don't really need one. If this is a lost cause, which I think it is to tell you the truth, is there any sort of helmet that actually looks okay? thanks in advance

well, the skater ones r cool, and ive been places were they have these ones with some thing to plug in a cd player... plus, please wear a helment, once i crcked a helment wen i skated right into a wall~dont ask~ and it could have been my head... hope i helped

there are like Skatebaord helemts tht are pretty cool, and dont look all dorky and stuff. maybe try one of those if you cant get one of them then jus takeit off once you arent around your house thats what i used to do, i dont know lol!

The skateboard helmets are pretty cool. Its always safe to ride with a helmet and if your mom wants ya to wear one as ya know you have to respect your moms " wishes". The skateboard helmets dont have a viser and are very safe..

umm its pretty hard to convince parents that you dont need a helmet b/c all in all u actually do but anywayz if u go to like ACADEMY or SUN & SKI SPORTS u can buy a helmet called PRO TEC they look pretty tight & not dorky @ all well @ least dats wut i think i have 1 & its saved my head many times l0l

I know where they sell cool helmets. They sell them at the keswik bike shop. I dont know where you are from but this store is in Glenside.

First and foremost, you're mom is right. You absolutely need to wear a helmet. A friend of mine was riding a bike one day, when she flipped over the handle bars, hit her head, and was knowcked unconciouss. She hadn't wanted to wear a helmet, but the person she was riding with had made her. If she hadn't been wearing one, she could have died. Thankfully, she's okay now.
If you're still concerned about style, buy a different helmet. They make plenty that don't look bad. Just please, whatever you do, make sure you wear one. I don't want anything to happen to you.

First off, you NEED to wear a helmet. There is no way you could convince your mom to let you ride without one, since you never know what could happen. I realize that it's probably embaressing to wear an ugly helmet around, but think of it this way : Would you rather die, or have to wear an ugly helmet? There are some better looking helmets out there, I would look in a skate shop.

Well you could ask your Mom to go outside and watch how good you are at skateboarding, biking, etc. but that may not convince her to let you not wear a helmet. It IS the law you know. My suggestion would be to get a cooler helmet.. like one of the round shaped ones, not the oval ones. They have them in Silver, and if you got one of those then put skate and bike brand stickers on it or something that might be cool. Hope i helped!

Well, where I live it's against the law to ride anything w/o a helmet, even a regular scooter. Witch I think is a bit stupid, but it's the law. So really, you can go to a sporting store, or if you shop cheap, wal-mart. They should have normal helmets.

Just get a plain helmet, without a visor or anything. They don't look <b>THAT</b> bad. Okay, I know, everyone hates wearing helmets. BUT, would you rather have a helmet on, get hit by a car, and just have a few cuts...OR would you rather look cool without a helmet, get hit by a car, and die? Hmm..hard decision. Think about it.

i don't know how to convince your mom to let u not wear a helmet, but if you can't, go to a sports store and try on different helmets and look in a mirror...different ones look better on different people so there's no certain one that'll look good.
