okay...all my friends tell me that i'm turning punk little by little...and most of my friends are punk. i listen to punk and am starting to dress punk too. if i totally change my style over christmas break do u think that the people in my school will call me a poser? i'm 13/f in 8th grade. thx...*changing*

well i dont think you have to worry to much about it exspeacially if that is what they are and if they know you are changing into that sort of stuff then it shouldnt be to much of shock to them if they know whats going on with your style but if you gets new clothes during x mas break and u wants to look that way.. then hey.. thats your choice so go for it. if they call u a poser.. thats there problem and not yours!

Just take your changing step by step ( little by little ) and people shouldnt call u a poser, and if they do, forget them! ugh when i was in that stage, i hated when people called me a poser, because ii Have etnies! lol.. I went through the same thing. They might. But, most likely... you should just do it little by little over the year to avoid it. Then over the summer, buy a whole bunch of stuff from Hot Topic and Spencers. It's better to do it over the summer because everyone goes through major changes in that time and when you are in high school you'll meet new people who will think you always dressed 'punk'. If you really like punk so much, just try acting more weird/punk and that way people will just think your clothes match your attitude/personality.

Yes, they most likely will. But if you can block that out and don't care at all, then do it! If that's not what you want to do, then just change little by little..because that will be the best way to go. Don't you <b>hate</b> when people call people posers? Yeah, well anyway...good luckk!

Okay. This is a hard one to tell u but yes, they will think your a poser. If u suddenly turn into punk, People will naturally think that ur just being a fake. Change ur style little by little. Start off with a shirt by a band u like then wear black pants, then earings, then shoes...I think u get the idea. Hope this helps a bit!

yeah, chances are they will call you a poser. but if youre not a poser and you truly like punk, then it wont bother. so then you should open a can of whoopass on the ppl who call you a poser. hope i helped.

God, I hate stereotypes... Just because you look "punk", or listen to "punk" music, you think you're some part of a group of people. Why do you people have to label yourselves? Yes, you're all posers. Just be yourself, not someone else.

Well, if you start walking around and say "I'm punk" Then yes, they will call you a poser. Let people find out who you really are without you having to tell them throuh lables. You're just being you. I went through that same phase with the whole "punk/gothic" scene. Some people get mad whenever someone tells them that it's just a phase. But to be honest, it really is. I thought I'd be shopping at Hot Topic for the rest of my life and dress my kids in their toddlers clothes. I just grew out of it and I felt like I wasn't being myself. Just be YOU. If someone asks you, "What, are you supposed to be punk or something you poser" Or something stupid like that, just say "No, I'm being myself." Don't try to be someone you aren't and don't listen to people's stupid comments. I got the whole "you're a poser" thing thrown at me for a while, they'll get over it. The best thing I could tell you is to be YOU. Don't change for the sake of anyone else. Hope this helped.

Yeah, I've always liked the clothes my friends dress in, most of them are punk, and a few of them are all the way goth, but I don't really like all the music (most yes, all NO) They told me that it might seem like you are becoming a poser, but learn all you can about the music, and the style, and then they'll realize you are serious about it. Like my friend knows almost everything about FATA, AC/DC, Avenged Sevenfold, Pink Floyd ( I love them)
But at first, you'll probably get called a poser, then after a while, it won't matter anymore. Don't totally change your whole style by then if you don't want to be called poser. If you truly like the stuff, it won't matter what people think, riiiiight? If you don't want to be called poser or anything, just listen to the music, and wear some of the stuff. Then by next year(school year), or summmer, or Easter break, it'll be allright, and most likely you won't be called poser. A lot of people dress punk at my high school, but only half of 3/4ths of those people are really truly punk.

lol. I've been through this. IF they call you a poser, then there not your friends anyways. And if you lose friends it would be stupid. You shouldn't worry, because real friends don't care how you dress, or what you listen too; If they call you poser then they aren't worth being your friends anyways. Do you really want to tell those friends secrets when they call you names for the way you dress, and the music you listen too? I hope not.

Well If they do start calling you a poser.. Its alright..I mean its your style you should dress how you want..I mean..everyone changes there style dont mean there posers.. Just be yoursefl!! And be happy!!
