Problem with Student Gov
A big problem. Ok... I'm in student government at my school. Were freshmans and are shut down for our ideas... even our teacher doesn't support us. Well, we have connections with stores and radio stations- and we want to organize a fashion show. I mean it's a huge responsiblity and were worried guys and girls won't come, and where thinking of dinners and so on. Please, give me some ideas on how to work this thing.. how to organize, promote, ANYTHING! Thanks- I rate higghhh

Hey I see where your coming from school can be hard , but so can extra stuff like being on the school council. I suggest you take everything a little slower and keep going. If you get frusterated, take a deep breath and keep going.

sounds like a great idea! wat you need to do it write a list of things u need to do, so ur organized. T ell ur teacher ur idea and why you tink it wuld be a good idea and how ur gunna go about doing it. Make signs and annoucnments in ur school and spred the word! since you have connections with stores maybe you can ask them if you can hold ur fashion show there or use somem of their clothes from their to promote their fashoon.Maybe you can get the radio station to come and play music for the fashion show too. you need to pazzaz it so every 1 will want to come stand up for your opinion make it known make cool posters put up things all around town add something fun and special about the fashion show that makes it unique so people will want to see it maybe try a costume fashion show for halloween if you think thats lame try something like all pink fashions or any color make it special then you don't have to worry about people coming or not !!! to get your teachers interested have them involed by being costume set up or something if that doesn't work set up a meeting go to work plan out your idea make them listen if they don't and you still want to do it do it any way as a fund raiser or something

Well, in my school, special organizations team up with the SGA to put together big stuff. IF you really want to do this, I think you should team up with another academic club(which also has freshmen's i guess..?) and put something tight together. good luk

well like you said u want to organize and get this little get together! make sure you have aclear idea of what you want to do and how you can do it! form a commitee of people who u trust and r going to pull through for you next get a sign up sheet to see how people are interested in coming. Next bring your ideas to teachers and the principal then if their okay with it go to the stores and radio stations and let them know what you are doing!! and ask them if they would be willling to do anything for you guys!!

I think it would be a great thing to have a fashion show. What would be a great idea, is post up any fliers about the event up. Once u do that, everyone at ur school can some how find out-through the flier or through a friend. A great place to hold a fashion show is either at the mall or in ur gymnasium. Good luck and make sure u take donations for the event or have a fundraiser to put it on.

Maybe you could let the school whole school know about it and tell them to tell there friends. Tell them it will be an awesome night with dinner too!! Putting something on a radio station would be really good too because people would get the news and actually pay attention because alot of people listen to the radio!! Sorry not too much help..but i hope i helped a little!
