14 f, i'm in high school and i'm not that happy. sometimes i think its really fun but sometimes i just feel like crying. people say high school is supposed to be the funnest part of you life.... please help

Freshman year huh? (Just based on age). Well, people told me that too, high school is supposed to be all fun and games. It's not, sad as it is. My freshman year, I was pretty much depressed 24-7. Of course, my teachers think their students have no life outside of school...Don't worry about it too much, only lucky, carefree people who've never been lonely at all, or never had ANYTHING bad happen to them have a great high school career. If you're at a new school, then that's probably adding to why you feel unhappy sometimes. Stick with your friends, you should be able to find SOMETHING good about school with them :-) If you can get time, suggest that you and your friends go out somewhere after school one night and just hang out, if you feel like it, complian about your problems to each other and see if you can find amusment in them (there's usually something funny you can find).
Anyway, don't listen to what people say about high school being great, it's like really loud music wont' hurt your ears if you listen to it all the time...it's not true. High school is has MISERY written all over it, in bright red, big capital letters. Best thing you can do with it is laugh at it. "If you can't change it, laugh at it"

Honestly, I guess people say High School is the "best time of your life" because you don't really have that much responsibility then. As you get older, you'd have to have a job, pay bills, and look after children. So High School is when people go to parties, make new friends, experience new things. I know sometimes it could suck (like, MOST of the time). If your feeling down, don't worry your only 14, things will get better. So try to make everything fun, try to enjoy yourself!!!!

High School's a really emotional time actually. You'll be happy one minute and sad about something the next.. but its all part of growing up.. so don't worry. hope it helps *amber*

hey im an 15 in highschool and im a freshman too. u have to MAKE highschool fun u cant just sit there and not do anything u have to meet more people and dont change for other people. also u should play sports it really helps u meet a lot of new people even juniors and seniors. best of luck

First of all, it's freshman year baby! You've got alot of it left! I HATED freshman year but now I'm a junior and I love high school! High school sucks and you hate the situations that you're in but looking back, it's fun! just go out there and do something fun and stupid! Grab some friends and go streaking, tp a house, hrow a party, hook up with a random guy, flirt with guys you dont know at the mall, cuss someone out who you dont know, ect. Just do something! It's a blast just put ur self out there!

14? I'm guessing you're a freshman. Freshman year SUCKS. I spent the majority of that year upset about one thing or another. High school gets to be more fun as you get older. You're perfectly normal. I think I'd be worried if you were happy all the time, lol.

they are supposed to be fun, but they also suck!, freshman year is the best with friends, no drama, sophmore year, your clicks break up and its all about drama and finding who your true friends are, junior year is ok with friends but the worst with work, hardes acedmic year and senior year is the best , so it couldnt get worse but it does get better, and dont cry, bec you are not the only one who feels that way

Yeah, highschool is SUPPOSED TO be the funnest part of your school, but alot of times it isn't. I know from personal experience that highschool has been fun, but has caused me to be depressed more than ever...to the point of actually crying. I say, just go along with lifes course, where ever it may take you. Try to be happy, and just think to yourself that life isn't so bad, and people aren't made to be sad. everyone has their ups and downs. Not everythings perfect!! Lean on your friends for a good time and for the ones who make you cry, pull tricks on them. AKA... jello in their locker.... random water balloon fight, crap like that.
