I'm painting my room next weekend. A few years ago when I put up pictures and stuff like that I used glue and nail polish to hold them up. (don't ask) so how will I get the stuff off I tried like dish soap and water but it doesn't work

jokerzgrl answered Saturday October 9 2004, 4:20 pm: I remember when i was little, I tried to paint a corner of my wall with red nail polish. I was about 5, and my mom beat me black and blue.....*sigh!* Anyhoo, I remember her getting some type of liquid paint thinner, it migh cost you a little, but ist should come off. Try going to an art store or a hardware store. Your best bet might be an art store.

~*Annie*~ answered Saturday October 2 2004, 8:10 pm: Use achohol pads to wipe off the stains, or try one of the two cleaning products : 409 or Fantastic. Try using nail polish remover on the walls and if all fails, use a paint chipper to chip it all off.
Sherry answered Saturday October 2 2004, 7:29 pm: Get a towel and wet it with like freezing cold water. Have the towel on the stain and hold for about 5-10 minutes. Remove the towel, and if the glue/nail polish isint hard and cant come off with your fingernail...then use the nail polish remover...if both dont work...just paint over the walls and hope u cant see the glue or whatever [ Sherry's advice column | Ask Sherry A Question ]
XoXoIllOv3YoUXxOo answered Saturday October 2 2004, 7:19 pm: i think you should actully try like paint remover or nail polish remover. now yes that will leave a stain on your wall but becuase you are painting over it that will just get that shiny crap off (i.e. nailpolish) and then you will have Fresh and Clean walls.
hope the advice helps [ XoXoIllOv3YoUXxOo's advice column | Ask XoXoIllOv3YoUXxOo A Question ]
