straight hair

Question Posted Saturday August 28 2004, 3:30 pm

hey guys! i got my hair chemically straightened with my cuzin back in march. my hair doesnt really dry straight from it though. its kinda wavy when it used to be loose curls. i still have to straighten it which used to take me an hour now its like 20 mins. but my cuzins hair dries straight .. mine doesnt. my hair took to the chemicals real fast so they didnt let it sit in my hair as long as they should have. ok well getting to the point.. i have to get my roots straightened again soon and i was wondering if i should say something to them and if so.. what should i say?

Hey. tell the ppl that did your hair that it didn't all straighten when you let it dryed and is still wavy and everything...tell them everything and things...you should have told them that it wasnt straighten right in the first place. i dont think taking in the chemicals matter you have to have a certain time for it to coem out yah kno? Take Care..Hope I helped! x3 SweetStar.

well those people know what they are doing. if they took it out earlier than your cousins, it was cuz your hair took to it faster, and that means that leaving it in longer may have damaged it or made it fall out. her hair probably dires straight and not yours because your hair is alittle different than hers. so, when you go to get your roots touched up, just let them do thier jobs, cuz they know what they are doing.

Just ask them about it. Say that it was wavy when it dried. They SHOULD have let the chemicals stay in longer. All you have to do is explain that to them and I'm sure they can fix it. =c)

I don't know if you should really say anything because there really isn't any need to piss them off, you don't want them messing up your hair agian, just make sure they leave the chemicals in your hair for the correct amount of time. Be like "I know my hair does things faster, but last time I got my hair done here, it didn't look how it was supposed to, so leave it in for the required amount of time please." Be very polite.

Helped?

i got my hair chemilcally straightened too acouple months ago...and its the EXACT same as yours...its not the ppls who did it fault, its your hair...som pplz hair dont take the chemicals good because the hair will fall out so they HAVE to take it off fast no matter what..if u want u can ask them about it, but its not their fault sOo yah

Mandee answered Saturday August 28 2004, 4:55 pm:
You should tell them what you just mentioned. The fact that you still need to straighten your hair and that it doesn't dry straight might not have to do getting it chemically straight. Because there are different hair types. And your cousin's hair type might be different than yours which might explain why her hair dries straight and yours does not. Whenever you go to get your roots dones again make sure to ask them if there is anything you can do or they can do to make your hair dry straight. And make sure you let them know that last time you came in you weren't sure if the chemicals were in long enough. But speak up! And if you feel like something isn't being done properly don't be afraid to let them know! Good luck with everything sweetie! Love Always, Mandee

just be like "last time i got this done the chemicals didnt sit long enough bc we thought it had worked faster than normal so can we just let it sit the amount of time that its sposed 2 even if its alreayd straight" n they should say yes. the same thing happened 2 my mom w. hair dye..it faded in about 2 weeks bc they didnt leave it in long enough n wen she went back they left in it how they were sposed 2 in it stayed for a long time

Don't worry about it. Just go out there and do what you got to do. Here's one thing: Just think you are the only one out there, you're on your own turf, and you are just practicing (minus the fact that you can't mess up). The most important thing to remember is to have fun. If you're not having fun, it's not worth it. Let me know how it goes. I'm sure you'll do great!!
