xxAdviceGirlxx answered Thursday August 19 2004, 3:19 am: OK! I'm really sorry 4 you! All you have 2 do 2 tell your friends is: SIT THEM DOWN AND CALMLY EXPLAIN 2 THEM WHAT YOU HAVE AND IF THEY'RE REALLY YOUR FRIENDS, THEY WON'T TAKE IT SO HARD... I had a friend of mine (matter of fact she was my b.e.s.t. f.r.i.e.n.d.) and she had cancer... She was 10 years old... She sat down and explained it 2 us some of the girls went crazy but I just sat there and cried softly 2 myself... Just sit them down and say "Guys I'm your friend and I have LEUKEMIA..." Then continue your discussion... But don't scare them...
Signed,

P.S. I'm sorry I'll pray 4 you! [ xxAdviceGirlxx's advice column | Ask xxAdviceGirlxx A Question ]

I guess you'll just have to get your friends together .. or tell them seperately if that's easier, and explain everything to them. There's no *good* way to say it, but I'm sure they'll still <3 you and they'll stick with you through everything! [ xo_dream's advice column | Ask xo_dream A Question ]
Chatychic08 answered Thursday August 19 2004, 1:14 am: Im sure that your friends will understand, you could just let them know or something. It shouldnt b that big of a deal to them if they are your true friends. Good luck

AskMeL123 answered Thursday August 19 2004, 1:13 am: Have them all over for a sleepover or just a night of fun to hang out. Sit them all down and basically tell them about it. Let them know what exactly it is and explain the whole process to them and what happens. I'm sure that they will be caring and understanding and want to do whatever they can to help you through this tough situation in your life. Be strong and fight this off. xoxGotxToxYouxox answered Wednesday August 18 2004, 6:59 pm: first off. i am really sorry to hear about that.. i really hope everything works out for you and i hope you beat it too!
and secondly, i would get all your friends together and just tell them plain out. if they dont except you after that then you have other things to worry about, like living your life to the fullest. your friends love you.
xO4uXo answered Wednesday August 18 2004, 2:32 pm: hey sweetie

MFS answered Wednesday August 18 2004, 2:11 pm: I'd just tell them up-front. It's not like you're hiding anything. Make sure they are aware of what it means, and use this as an opportunity to make them aware of what Leukemia is. Don't be afraid to tell your friends - but also be aware that some of them might not know how to react or what to say - and to those people, just tell them that you don't expect them to say anything, and that you just felt like you needed to let them know, as your life has just gotten more complex.
superstar10 answered Wednesday August 18 2004, 2:02 pm: there really isnt a good way to tell ur friends about that. but you should tell them soon. just get them all together and tell them all at once. that would be the easiest instead of telling all of them at a different time. i hope i helped...good luck...
