Just do it. Why the hell do you care what some retards think? If you actuall do want to lose weight for the right reasons, then running will only make that easier and keep you in shape. ]
Maybe then you should not try out this year, and run around your block and do sit ups to tone yourself and then you'll have lost some wait and then next year you can try out! But if you really wanna do it and your good then try out! I mean if your good no one will think anything about you! -aMaNdA <3* ]
well you cant really run away from it. if cross country is sumthing u wanna do ur weight shouldnt really matter. i kno a bunch of ppl probably say o be happy with the way u r but its true. u cant let ur weight keep u back from sumthing u wanna do. plus if u do cross country u will probably lose weight and then u can be really proud of ur accomplishment. hope i helped! ]
Coaches need physicals mainly to make sure that you are healthy enough to play their sport. They are not going to memorize your personal details - I worked for an organization which required physicals, and we viewed them as just permission slips to participate; you know, getting the doctor's okay.
The other runners will never see your physical.
If you're worried about your weight, it seems like the best thing you can do is join the cross country team. You'll be firm and healthy in no time - and no one will ever talk to you about your exact weight. ]
Well only the coaches and the person giving the physical know your weight, the coaches arent allowed to share your personal information, i would try not to worry about it :-) ]
just go for it! its only your weight! do what makes you happy!!! Besides, they arnt suppost to tell neone, go for it! ]
ok i have a real ass of a situation like that. my parents are both real skinny and i'm about the same weight you are. do a little cross country by yourself and see if you like it. your coaches can't release your weight. if they do, sue for ever dime they have. i don't think your coaches even get to know about that. all that really happens is your doctor gives you your physical and signs a paper saying you had one. i don't think your mom can even get into your records, but i could be wrong. ]
don't worry about weight! that is so unimportant! i used to think i was too skinny and it made me upset but its all about how you feel and how you present yourselves. some of the most beautiful people in the world aren't skinny picks but it's all about confidence! i hope that helped* ]
the other ppl on the team won't ever find out how much you weigh, and it doesn't matter what you weigh - it's how you look! (and feel!) it sounds like being active is a good idea to me if you have weight concerns...plus, I KNOW the doctor has seen some ppl that weigh WAY more than you do!!!!! ]
Don't worry about it, in the overall picture you'll probably end up loving cross country and this will be a minor detail..PLus nurses usually keep the weight and height private when they do the phsyicals.Another plus is that you'll get toned while you do it, running is great excersie. ..hope i helped! :)The coaches would also not make a big deal out of your weight either, they are mature adults and runners are all shapes and sizes..most of all have fun doing it ]
It shouldn't be about your wight... Don't worry about that. If it's something you want to do then go for it. If anything, they're your teammates, and they'll support you a 100%. Your teammates can't see how much you weigh, just the coaches. If you can run long distance that won't matter at all to them.
And if you do cross country I gaurentee that you'll lose weight, it's a tough sport and it's all about conditioning, it'll be good for you.
I hope you decide to try out! Don't let how much you weigh stop you! ]
If you want to run cross country then run cross country. Your mom won't have to know what you weighed in at and you don't have to weighed when the other runners are there. Your mom will probably be happy that you are doing something healthy that will exercise your body. ]
well run the most you can do situps..but besides that you shouldnt worry what your coaches think theyve probably been in your place at one time or another. and other runners if they care to see how much you weigh thats there problem! there too involved with you and need to worry about themselves rather than you! but most be comfortable with yourself! ]
i think if you do want to run cross country you should . i did and i saw a lot of people and no one was emmbarassed about any thing and the only thing that people were embarassed about was the stuff we had to wear . ]
Okay,I think that you should just go for it.Don't be ashamed of what you weigh because remember, there are other people that weigh more and also if you get a physical then ya you can run in track! And then if you want to you can loose weight!Good luck!Hope ya do well!
.:tasha:. {plz rate} ]
I really think your weight could leave a bad impression on your coaches if you run cross country, so I think you should go to the physical, and then promise yourself you will loose weight before the season starts. Then your coaches will see that you are responsible and you can get yourself in shape. Good luck! ]
honestly i can tell you how i feel cause i have been in your shoes a time or two but i mean if you love running and everything being weighed and everything yeah its a pain cause i swear everytime i go to the doctor i gain more weight and im a senior in high school but you dont have to have the other girls see it or coaches hear it juts have them like say it softly or just write it down and show you or something i hope taht everything turns out ok
