you see, i am a female brunette and i have hair on my legs/arms. I would like to lighten my hair so it is less visible because i don't like to wax/shave because hair grows back even darker/thicker. So what products can i use to lighten my hair? Are there any home remedies so I wont have to go to the store?
Karen answered Saturday August 14 2004, 12:50 pm: I use Sun In and it works the best. I used to have dark arm hairs but now they are bleach blonde. DO NOT shave or wax because then your arm hairs will grow darker and thicker. Hope I helped :) [ Karen's advice column | Ask Karen A Question ]
Inthydreams911 answered Friday August 13 2004, 2:06 pm: if you shave and wax all the time your hair wont have time to grow back... but there are some products that will remove it from the roots like sprays and stuff... or ask your doctor for advice [ Inthydreams911's advice column | Ask Inthydreams911 A Question ]
Pink_Flamingo answered Thursday August 12 2004, 9:23 pm: Well your hair does not actually grow back darker and thicker. That is a myth, Its really just an illusion becuase you tend to forget what your hair looked like before it grew back.
No there arnt home remidies. If you want to get it off without waxing or shaving try nair. It doesnt work on really corse hair though. It should work on your arms. [ Pink_Flamingo's advice column | Ask Pink_Flamingo A Question ]
OrangeLuverr answered Thursday August 12 2004, 8:58 pm: Just shave ur legs...or use hair removal like Nair or Veet or something..
but for ur arms, at Wal*Mart or something you can get something in the section where the Nair is at, that bleaches body hair....and it only costs like 3 or 4 bucks. [ OrangeLuverr's advice column | Ask OrangeLuverr A Question ]

liddylflirtx3 answered Thursday August 12 2004, 5:03 pm: if you go to the drugstore, they have a bunch of hair-bleaching products that don't burn your skin and they make it so you hair is still there but practically invisible! hope i helped - rate me please =) [ liddylflirtx3's advice column | Ask liddylflirtx3 A Question ]
StiLLwiShinG_1217 answered Thursday August 12 2004, 4:59 pm: I'd just like to point out that shaving is the mechanism of removing hair that will make it grow back thicker. Seeing as I have the same problem, I wax, it may hurt but it has great, long lasting results. If u don't want to wax, look for products by sally hanson that lighten body hair at ur local pharmacy! And no, there are no home remedies I know of.. except using string.. but I never learned that from my aunt.. so, Sorry! :-)
Hope it works!

MFS answered Thursday August 12 2004, 4:51 pm: hair bleaching, such as with dilute peroxide, is what you're looking for. There are many cheap products to do this that you can find at drugstores. Be careful if you attempt to use just any old bottle of peroxide in your house, as you can burn your skin if it is too high a concentration. [ MFS's advice column | Ask MFS A Question ]
