EmbracedxRain answered Wednesday August 11 2004, 1:11 am: Well my wrist is sprained right now so I suppose I could help, lol. I've had them a few times and all I really do is put ice on it and wrap it in ace bandage and try not to bend it alot. It'll heal. Or if it seems like a bad sprain you should go to the doctors. Hope I helped =) *amber* [ EmbracedxRain's advice column | Ask EmbracedxRain A Question ]
SammyPie answered Tuesday August 10 2004, 10:33 pm: Keep your wrist elevated and wrap it with a bandage to keep it all together. I've had them before and they suck. But moreso than anything else, try not to do too much with that wrist. [ SammyPie's advice column | Ask SammyPie A Question ]

pArIs_mArIe answered Tuesday August 10 2004, 10:19 pm: Nothing really can heal a sprained wrist. Anything thats sprained is healed by time, and taking good care of it.. It helps when it first happens to add ice to it for the first 24 hours.. then heat later.. Icy hot helps if your active.. At pharmacys like CVS and RiteAid they have little wrist braces and stuff that you can wear if your active and need to do stuff and cant wait that long for it to heal.. No matter what you have to try and use it a little bit more each and every day to make it heal better.. Good Luck <3 [ pArIs_mArIe's advice column | Ask pArIs_mArIe A Question ]
-wizerwordz- answered Tuesday August 10 2004, 10:07 pm: im not sure about a wrist, but i sprained my ankle once. i used some pain relief cream and wrapped my ankle up so it wouldnt move that much, which reduced the pain. then I pretty much let it heal on its own.
so what you should do is put some pain relief cream on your wrist, wrap it up so you can't move it that much (but make sure you don't cut off blood flow). as long as you can bear a little pain, it should be healed in a few days, or maybe less depending on how bad it is.
by the way, i usually stay away from doctos if i don't need them and i don't think a sprain should require a doc.
this is a little different from what most people say to do, but it worked for me.
KateStar1011 answered Tuesday August 10 2004, 10:04 pm: Well...
Go to the doctor, or go to your local drug store and get a wrist wrap or something, but the main thing is keeping off of it. That's the best way to heal everything. Maybe put a warm cloth on it at night, and some MYOFLEX helps alot. It's a creame that relieves the strain on the bone. I hope I helped hunnie! :) Have a good night, and Get Well sOon to whoever has a Sprained WRist <3 [ KateStar1011's advice column | Ask KateStar1011 A Question ]
