Hi people! I am on a high school varsity cheerleading squad. And the thing is, there are 15 of us and we are 600.00 in debt cause the last year's coach bought the team new uniforms and never paid for them, and now we need fundraising ideas. We already got the basics like the car wash, bake sale, candy sales, and things like that. So if anyone has any other ideas rather than the one's above, IT WOULD HELP US OUT ALOT! We also have to buy new uniforms as well! Thankz for your time! ;)

I don't really know how much your willing to do for this but maybe your squad can get a big fundraising thing together where you hand out flyers and have a "Cheerleading Camp" for a weekend.. or a day. for kids in elementary school and jr. high school who want to be high school cheerleaders and you can teach them some cheers a dance a few stunts.. maybe make up a cute routine to music that their parents can come watch?? haha I don't know just an idea.. but i'm sure parents would donate extra if you tell them the cause! TheUsedRock92 answered Tuesday April 19 2005, 8:47 pm: well you do have the basics you could try a candle sale, smooties even though that is kinda expencive, you could have a school dance and have to sponcered by the cheerleaders if your principle would let you. you could have arts and craft classes and make silly stuff that makes alot of money usually, sell ice cream and drinks, ask for donations, do some cheers and have someone with a can like i saw in one of the advice's because thats a good idea, flowers, make cute bookmarks and sell them, or nice cards that you could make for cheap. well those are some ideas that might help. hope i helped. inbox me anytime. princess41621 answered Saturday December 18 2004, 4:10 pm: Maybe if you all got together and split up into groups of 3 (each group has 5 people) 1 group does a high-teck bake sale one gift rap (offer to wrap people's holiday presents) and one does a candy sale. Then get all together and do a car wash. with four different things maybe you could make more money [ princess41621's advice column | Ask princess41621 A Question ]
brown23 answered Thursday November 25 2004, 2:49 pm: this is gonna sound dumb but have a chili sale on a cold day.
chili or hot soup sells really well.
or have a bake sale.
do either of these at school and advertise with posters and itll be a hit!!
also go to local buissinesses with a note stating that it really is for your school and ask them for money!:)
corporate_casual answered Monday August 16 2004, 12:35 pm: One thing you could do is have a joint yard sale kind of thing. Gather up a bunch of stuff you don't want and set up a yard sale at your school. You could also sell arrangements of flowers that you grow or have a craft fair and look up easy crafts online. You could have raffles too, and see if you can get local businesses to donate gift certificates or something. Hope I helped and good luck! jeanine278972 answered Wednesday August 11 2004, 1:07 pm: It looks like u got it covered for the most part. A few years ago our cheerleading squad made over $1000 with just a bake sale. This years squad all donated their old stuff to a fundraising Garage sale. Just have everyone bring in their old clothes and stuff.. and hold a HUGE garage sale. That really helped them alot. They made like $400. If u do the bake sale or garage sale.. just set up a can or something for donations. That way people dont have to buy something to donate to u. They can just donate however much they want to.
Make sure u advertise ALOT. Put on the ads what ur doing it for. That helps alot too.
blackmamba answered Wednesday August 11 2004, 2:01 am: how about like a fun fair? between the 15 of you guys, you could all have different " jobs" like face painter or game leader. you could have refreshmants and games and charge admission and stuff like that. crystal200022us answered Wednesday August 11 2004, 1:03 am: Hmmm...well the only thing I can think of is if your state does deposit on cans you can go around to different neighborhoods and collect soda cans. I hope this helps and good luck!

sarcasticgal1221 answered Tuesday August 10 2004, 11:51 pm: What you could do is have someone design a T-shirt which you would sell to people in your school. Sell the t-shirt to people. Try cafeshops.com if you want to eliminate a lot of hassle. [ sarcasticgal1221's advice column | Ask sarcasticgal1221 A Question ]
