I'm 17 years old, I've been a cheerleader basically my whole life, It's a great SPORT.. I love it. I've been through so much in my life that no one really knows about. I've matured so much throughout high school it's unbelievable. I learned how important family is, in the end they'll always be there for you. I've delt with more then normal teenagers my age have. I live in a very wealthy area where most of the kids have parents who pay for everything and they don't understand the value of money. I moved when I was in third grade because my parents got divorced. From experiences i've had to deal with, I have become extremly independent and appreciative of everything I have. I joined this advice website because I was looking for advice on something, but then when I looked more into it I realized that I could give advice to people... I think i've experienced everything that people ask questions about.. and I love helping people out. I'm an extremly caring person.. and I hate drama(who doesn't?) I love to cheer, tumble, workout, be active etc... I had a boyfriend for about 3 years through high school.. 2 years older then me.. we broke up because of college. I can give great relationship advice as well as family/friends or anything else you want to know!!

Hi people! I am on a high school varsity cheerleading squad. And the thing is, there are 15 of us and we are 600.00 in debt cause the last year's coach bought the team new uniforms and never paid for them, and now we need fundraising ideas. We already got the basics like the car wash, bake sale, candy sales, and things like that. So if anyone has any other ideas rather than the one's above, IT WOULD HELP US OUT ALOT! We also have to buy new uniforms as well! Thankz for your time! ;)

hmm.. I don't really know how much your willing to do for this but maybe your squad can get a big fundraising thing together where you hand out flyers and have a "Cheerleading Camp" for a weekend.. or a day. for kids in elementary school and jr. high school who want to be high school cheerleaders and you can teach them some cheers a dance a few stunts.. maybe make up a cute routine to music that their parents can come watch?? haha I don't know just an idea.. but i'm sure parents would donate extra if you tell them the cause!

I can't seem to find and black cheerleading spandex shorts. You know, the kind that you wear underneath your cotton shorts? Where do you buy those? And what brand do you suggest?

well.. i doubt you will break your hymen.. but if you do it's really not a big deal.. you can break your hymen from tampons, sex, bike riding, horse back riding etc. there are different cases in which you can break your hymen, stretch it etc... but here is a good website to go to if you think something happened to yours..

So im a 15 year old sophomore and my dream has always been to be a competiton cheerleader. I am soo dedicated to cheerleading and would do anything to do this. I found a cheerleading place that im going to go to 2morrow to tryout and some people are telling me theres no way i can do it. People are really starting to make me feel down about this. So is competition cheerleading really hard to get into?
Do you have to be a really pretty skinny girl to get in? Im 15...5'6 and weigh 115...and i wanna be a flyer but do i weigh to much to do this or what? this means soo much to me!!

I'm a flyer on a competitive cheerleading team at my high school.. ok first of all not all of the best flyers are extremly light... that's not what makes a good flyer. To be a good flyer you need to stretch EVERYDAY... stretch whenever you get a chance.. watching tv..doing homework etc. Do backbends and hold the splits for a minute or so..and always stretch both sides equal. flexibility plays a huge role so just keep stretching and practice scales/scorps/stretches on your own... becoming flexible DOES NOT happen overnight..it happens over time.. so don't force it or you can pull a muscle and it will take even longer to heal. Also do crunches to strengthen your abs.. having strong abs will help you pull up.. when your a flyer u need to squeeze your butt, and tighten your abs.. doing those two things can already make you 10 pounds lighter to your bases... so even if you have a tiny girl flying but she's all loose and wobbly and doesn't pull up she would feel 10 times heavier then you would in the air. So weight doesn't matter!!!

You have the attitude it takes to do this... I know you can do it! and honestly don't let ANYONE tell you that you can't do something... because if you're determined to be an amazing flyer.. only YOU can do that... so stay positive, never let people bring you down, and don't get discouraged... be patient and give it time!!
You can do it!! shove it in all those non-believers faces!! ;)

What is a good face wash to use everyday?

I like using neutrogena oil free acne wash! but you have to test some different ones out because not all of them work on everyone! You need to find one that works best for your skin! good luck

i just put a tampon yesterday for the first time i didn't feel anythin but i don't know if it's in far enough then when i pulled it out it hurt little
so my question is:
1. how do i know if it's in far enough
2. is it safe using a tampon
3. will using a tampon harm anythin in my body
4. if the tampon expands will it damage the thing inside my body that its in
5. what if its too far in
6. are all tampons the same size or are there long ones and short ones and how do i know what size i am

ok well when first using tampons it's not always going to feel right and may feel uncomfortable because you are not used to it. Make sure you are using the correct tampon size for however heavy your period is.. you should start off using slims because they are easier to use.
1. You should hold the grip of the tampon and slide it up until your fingertips touch the vagina then hold it there. then with your other hand push the top part of the tampon until you cant any more then ur done. if it doesnt feel comfortable you can try adjusting the string a little bit from side to side.. i know it sounds gross but it can help!
2.It's safe using tampons if you follow the directions and make sure not to keep it in longer then it is supposed to be in for.
3.It won't harm your body if, like i said before, you pay attention to directions
4.I don't think it can damage anything inside your body when it expands... maybe in veryyy veryy rare cases?? but i dont know
5. It shouldnt be to far in because the string should always be hanging out
6. they are all the same length im pretty sure..but the sizes are different depending on how heavy your period is.. slims are for very light flow, regular is regular, and super is for very heavy flow.

you just have to test them out and practice and see what works for you.. tampon pearl is a good brand and tampax compact they are smaller to carry them around in your purse is easy.

If you have any more questions or want to know more about if they can harm you I would ask your doctor... doctors will know all about that stuff.. or google it!

but from what I know it's very rare.. but it's more dangerous when using high absorbant tampons and keeping them in longer then the approporiate time it says on the box.

i have a really nice tan from california but it goes away in like a month =/ is there any way i can keep it throughout the winter or as long as possible? thanks so much.

I don't know if you can keep it that long but there are definitley ways to keep it longer.. go to walgreens or some place like that and you can buy banana boat moisturizing aloe aftersun lotion. Using lotion like this and keeping your skin moist will help to extend your tan... it's when your skin drys up that it starts to peel... also if you want a tan during the winter without going tanning then they have good self-tanners at walgreens... i've used l'oreal sublime bronze tinted self-tannign lotion... for Body.. and it's Medium-Deep... depending on the color of your skin you can either get light...medium..or dark.. to make it look more natural u probably wouldn't get the dark one... and you use it just like normal lotion rub it in your hands and apply it evenly. You put it on before you go to bed at night and it will show up really well the next morning.. banana boat also has good self tanner.. that works on your face really well!! hope this helped.

5'3, 100 lbs. yeah i lost abuot 25 pounds in maybe 4- 4 1/2 months. i went to the doctor for an eating disorder and i just dont eat enough so ive been told to eat more, i lost muscle though. i do obsess over food, weight, sorta. but my blood and everything was healthy so its like i have an eating disorder mind but a healthy body. i don't want to gain fat, but i need more muscle. i am in cheerleading and i can barely do what i was able to do before. i just don't have the stregnth. i want to be able to tumble and stuff but if i eat more (healthy foods not fat foods) i dont want to just gain fat. help! what can i do for muscle, i dont have weights really, or a gym, basically a trampoline and a sedimentary bike.

eating right is very important for cheerleading... you will not gain muscle without eating right.. because your body will start breaking down the muscle because there is no fat for it to burn. Not eating is not what will help you stay skinny.. in the end it is completely worse for you.. and you won't have enough energy to play a sport. If you want to stay in shape and gain muscle and lose fat you have to have the right mindset... you need to be willing to do whatever it takes..and set goals for yourself. Eat a lot of foods with protein..peanut butter would be an example and it doesnt have the bad fat in it.. also if you like chocolate milk..that has protein. Just make sure you balance your diet, eat breakfast to start your metabolism.. have a few healthy snacks during the day.. and eat lunch and dinner... try staying away from caffiene and sweets. Once you have a healthy diet you'll feel better and have more energy.. stay active.. run around your neighborhood for 20-45 minutes.. however long you can go for.. stretch, and do ab workouts, go to youtube.com and type in ab excercises and they have videos... it's very important that you are eating though... you will not become fat.. i hope this helps you a little bit... ask me any more questions if you need help...! good luck..

okay well you probably hear this type of question a lot..

but anyways about a week ago me and my boyfriend broke up and we were going out for about half a year and i really loved him a lot, but i found out he cheated on me with my cousin, it wasnt like a big deal to me though but my cousin made up some stuff and said i was sneaking around with this other guy when i truthfully wasnt she just said that to him so he would brake up with me so she could have him, we wernt going to brake up when i found out he cheated on me, we toked it over and they only kissed so it didnt bother me really, but my cousin lives right down the road from him and she got him to brake up with me and go out with her. its only been a week since we broke up and shes been going out with him for like 3 days and is acting like she has fallen in love already and stuff and i know my ex very well and i know he doesnt like that type of girl i think he might be using her for sex.. and yah i dont know what i should do like i have tried so many things to try to getr my mind off him .. i went out with friends and done all diffrent types of things but everyday i have cried on and off and last night i reallt broke down crying, it was really bad i dont know what i should do to try to get over him because it hurts really bad and i cant take feeling like this anymore but i cant help it.. also i know i could get him back and i really want him back.. but everyone is telling me to move on.. should i move on? or wait untill he uses my cousin? ah im so confused and also my friends told me to try rebounding like into another relationship, theres this guy who i think is cute and he likes me .. is rebounding healthy?

Hey.. I saw your question.. and I have been through that feeling too... when my boyfriend and I broke up I seriously didn't know what to do with myself.. I didn't understand why it was so hard for me to move on..I would break down all the time..and I was completley unhappy.. it's taken me a while to figure things out..but I've really matured and learned alot from that relationship...I know what you mean when you say you tried going out and staying busy but it didn't help all that much..that's how i felt too..so I thought to myself..the relationship I was in was impossible because of college and everything. You need to build your confidence.. do something you are interested in and set goals for yourself.. working out, a sport, club, job etc... find something you really would love to succeed in and focus all your attention to that. You need to realize that you deserve sooooo much more then your ex boyfriend ..I mean come on he cheated.. there's no excuse for cheating. He probably won't come back to you now because he knows you'll always be there waiting and he can come back to you whenever he wants.. build your confidence, meet other guys and just have a good time. Don't ever text/call or talk to him unless he talks to you first... and if he does.. be short with him but act like you've never been happier.. or if he calls be like o well i have to go I have plans or stuff to do.. talk to you later..you know? so he'll be like what?? she doesn't want to talk to me.. guys always want what they cant have.. by the time you build your confidence and you're happy with yourself again he will want you so bad.. but you won't even be interested because you're so much better then that!!!! seriously... i am new to my high schools cheerleading squad. most of the girls are really good at their round offs, i can do mine but it sucks. i can get my feet together to land at the same time, but my problem is that when i land my feet down, my arm is still on the ground, just like they are after doing a cartwheel. what i need to learn to do is when i land to pull my body up so im not bent over still like kind of so i can fly backwards, and also how to pull my hands off the ground before i actually land, because when i try to pull my hands away i lose my balance or get scared that i will fall on my head. sorry if this is confusing, but any tips?! thanks so much!

Hey!.. ok well.. like the girl below me said strength is a major part of your problem... make sure you are doing excercises even at home to help...calve raises on your stairs.. crunches...lunges..etc.. also the key to having a powerful roundoff is the run into it.. take a deep breath before you go, then run fast and use your arms alot to gain momentum.. then swing your arms and in your round-off you don't want to be too hard on your wrists.. so make it flow.. reach your arms straight out in front of you and keep them up by your ears.. stay tight.. and snap your legs down.. keeping your arms by your ears for rebound... make sure you stretch your round-off out because it will add alot more momentum... practice them ALOT..round-offs are extremly important when it comes to running tumbling..it's where you get all your power... don't think too much about it or else you will confuse yourself and freak yourself out.. just go with the flow and do what feels comfortable for you.. practice alot!!.. you'll get it in no time!! good luck

ok so i ahte my face. i have so much pimples! lately its been getting worse an di dont even know why. i mean i eat healthy and i have tried everything! like proactive, which didnt work at all for me, clearsil, zapzit and nothing. i have used alot of face washes also, not all at once but you know. what can i use thats cheap that is guaranteed to clear my face? everyime i go to school this kid is always calling me connect the dots its so embarrasing! i tell him 2 shut up and everthing but he still does it. he also tells me that i have a big forehead and always says it outloud. i hate my life i hate being teased in front of evryone in the school and im so sensative. what do i do about everything?

it's hard finding a good acne medicine but usually you just have to try some out and see what works best for you.. not every facewash works on every person you know.. what i like to use that is really cheap and its from walgreens it's called Sea Breeze its in a clear bottle and it's blue.. under that it says Sensitive Skin Fresh-Clean Astringent.. gentle formula deep cleans and refreshes without drying .. yea so i'm not saying this will for sure work on your skin.. but it should make it feel refreshed and if you use a white cotton ball you can see it get the dirt off your face.. let me know if it helps! =)

Ok my brother is teaching me some martial arts. My main probleam is flexability, right now he is on vacation then he will be in a police academy six months, i want to practice my stretching increase my flexability. im having trouble finding good stretches. so if you could give me a link that has stretches and instructions i would appreciate it and any tips would be good

Make sure you stretch every day.. do a straddle and reach over to your right toe and hold for about 30 seconds then reach forward for 30 seconds then to the left 30 seconds... maybe do a warmup of jogging in place for 45 seconds before you stretch to warm-up your muscles.. also holding the splits for a minute or so will really help your flexibility for your hamstrings

I dated a guy two years older then me in highschool.. I was a sophomore and he was a senior... he dealt with the same stuff, mostly from girls in his grade. He was the sweetest kid ever and he made every girl feel special... so all the girls in his grade were sooo jealous of our relationship and they would tease him about it... he really let it get to him.. it really affected our relationship..I felt like it was hidden. Don't let that happen. In the end you will regret it. If you love her.. be confident about it and don't let anyone's jealousy get in between that.. it's not worth it. The more open you are about your relationship, people will give up teasing you because they'll see they aren't getting under your skin and controlling you.. ! I hope I helped you out a little bit.. at the beggining of june i wieghted 146 and now i weight 124...i have been eating about 1200 calories a day and some days i eat between 1500-2000....i am working out alot...how can i stay at this current weight and possible lose some more...i would in a few months like to be at about 115-120.... i am 5'2 and i think this would be a healthy weight for me!

Well what's important about weight loss is consistency... you need to make sure you are not just going on a "diet".. call it a lifestyle change... set goals for yourself and set up a plan.. be active whenever you can and go online google.com and look up work outs for abs, legs, arms etc... it's important to eat healthy too..eat breakfast, drink alot of water, cut out pop, candy, etc... and just don't over eat.. if you are sitting at home bored.. go out and do something.. bike ride.. take a walk. Ok say your friend on facebook has an album labeled summer07 with pictures of you and your friends this summer... well they can tag each person in each photo by clicking the link then clicking someones face and you type in the name of the person who it is.. and if they have a facebook then you can tag them.. so if you are tagged in pictures then people looking at the pictures will know its you and can click on your name and it will take them to your facebook. No, if you upload a picture then all your friends can see the pictures you upload in your albums.. but if you tag your friend in a picture then on their facebook page right under their main picture it should say "View Photos of (whoever's facebook it is)" and then may have a number like 98... which means that person was tagged in 98 pictures.. from other people's facebooks. Do you understand that more? haha .. it's complicated at first but you'll get the hang of it!

No it won't hurt you in anyway.. Fingering is what a guy does to pleasure a girl.. if anything it is supposed to feel good.. they just use their fingers to trigger your "G-spot". If it didn't feel good the first time that's normal.. it takes getting used to until you are comfortable enough to enjoy it.
