but from what I know it's very rare.. but it's more dangerous when using high absorbant tampons and keeping them in longer then the approporiate time it says on the box.
the symptoms I found from that website are :
high fever (over 102° F.), vomiting, diarrhea, a sunburn-like rash, and drop in blood pressure.
