any suggestions on a good book?

okay... i need to read another book for high school. it's my first year (i'm a freshman) and i'm enrolled in CP Humanities... i've already read my first book and i've completed my journal entry that we needed to do for it... i'm supposed to read another book. it has to be a novel and more than 150 pages long i'd actually prefer it to be 200 or more pages long does anyone have a good suggestion on a book??? no harry potter books... i hate them and it HAS to be a NOVEL any suggestions?? i start on the 5th... i think i can read a 300 page book in 2 days so just give me ANYTHING to read! i need good suggestions!

If you can get a copy of the Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown, its really great. I read it really fast. It may stretch your religious tolerances if you are Catholic however.
Prey by Micheal Critchton (or almost anything by Micheal Critchton) was really scary and on the cutting of edge of what real science is attempting now.

hey bud, I'm not much of a reader, but the book Cold Mountain by Charles Frazier is a great novel in my opinion. About a civil war soldier who deserts to go home to his lovely girlfriend. Try it out, i think you'll like it.

Yes, I would read a book called Shogun, its long, but its one of the best stories I've ever read. If you want something shorter, try the Hobbit, or the Lord of the Rings, the Fellowship of the Ring
