crystal200022us answered Sunday July 25 2004, 1:08 am: Well, first thing cut down on your calorie intake. Do not eat past 7pm and if you need to eat before meals definitely eat fruits and veggies. Secondly, for exercises, you should go walking once a day and before you go to bed do some exercises like crunches or situps. Also, leg lifts which you lay on one side and lift your leg. I recommend doing 30 on each. If that's too easy then do more. Also, another exercise I do is arm curls. Basically, you get some small weights and bring your arms down in front of you and keeping your elbow still you bring the weights up to your chest. Do as many of those as you can. One last thing, it helps if you do stretches right before you go to bed because if you don't eat past 7pm and you stretch you'll sleep better which burns more fat. I hope this helps and good luck!

hunnybabe07 answered Sunday July 25 2004, 12:11 am: Okay, you may not believe me.. but if you eat more than just 3 times a day at meals (say you eat 3 meals a day, try having snacks inbetween them) It keeps your metabolism up. and when I say snacks I don't mean HoHo's and Twinkies.. I mean carrot sticks with a little ranch dressing and a half an apple. If you eat healthy then you will lose weight quicker. Eating whole foods is good for you too.
Such as..
~Breakfast
*oatmeal w/ honey in it
*glass of milk (skim)
~Snack (2hrs. later)
*slice of cheese
*half of an apple
*8 grapes
*8 carrot sticks (w/ a small amount of dressing)
~Lunch
*peanut butter and jelly sandwich (not tons of peanut butter or jelly.. just enough) ***on WHEAT BREAD.. white bread is bad for you!***
*glass of milk
~Snack (2hrs later)
*any combo or the same as what you had for the first snack*
~Dinner
*lean meat like chicken or turkey.. stay away from steak and ribs.. they're high in fat
*a salad (light dressing)
*Some type of vegetable or fruit
~Snack (a few hours later)
*5 strawberries
*cheese, grapes or if you're craving something sweet you can have 7 animal crackers or 5 vanilla wafers! :)
**drink plenty of water.. a few liters per day is very good in losing weight!!
*oh and remember, if you want to *lose* weight- you have to either exercise to burn off *more* calories that you take in, or cut the calories that you *eat*
~~I'm acutally taking modeling classes right now, and we're learning about nutrition at the moment so a nutritionist came in and talked to us all.. so I just passed the knowledge on..~~ I hope it works! :D [ hunnybabe07's advice column | Ask hunnybabe07 A Question ]

cutie4you answered Saturday July 24 2004, 10:35 pm: well i wouldnt really recomend low carb diet for a couple reasons:
1. its PROVen to be really bad for teenagers to use
2. the weight comes rite bak when u stop
so i would say try eating salads! dont use a ton of dressing but the lighter color the dressing is the better it is for you! dont eat rite before bed because your metabolism slows down then! eat ur meals earlier in the day. running and swimming will help u lose weight too! u mite not notice a difference rite away but u have a month! also get a lot of sleep it makes u healthier so u can have a good metabolism! just eat ur fruits and veggies and stay away from soda! it can bloat ur stomach and its pretty bad for u! good luck! just ask if u need more help!
queenbee answered Saturday July 24 2004, 10:30 pm: Because you are 14 you should be careful not to lose too much too fast. 6 maybe 8 lbs depending on your current BMI and weight/height ratio. The best thing to do is eat smaller meals more often and get into a regular cardiovascular routine, strength training will increase your metabolic rate. Avoid starches and sugar especially soft drinks. Drink a lot of water, get an adequate amount of sleep (6-8 hours/night). Remember muscle weighs more than fat and if you lose too quickly you can do some serious internal damage.
Take a look at Shape and Self Magazine websites. Also Oxygen online has some good, healthy tips. [ queenbee's advice column | Ask queenbee A Question ]

A.Good.Lie answered Saturday July 24 2004, 10:19 pm: Hm...that's a tough one. What I usually do when I want to lose weight quickly is I would only eat vegtables for a day, and then that night I would wear heavier clothes to sleep, and that way I would sweat while I was sleeping. As you know, sweating is one of the only ways to get weight out. But those methods are drastic. Probably a little too drastic for you, because I needed to lose weight by the next day or so, but you have a little over a month! So I suggest jogging, running, swimming, anything with physical activity. And you probably only have to do a little a day, depending on how much you desire to lose. But remember, you have a month, so don't go crazy.
