Don't Ride the Bus
I'm going into the 9th grade this year. I'm looking forward to it, except for one part.. I have to ride the bus. I rode it in the 7th grade & part of the 8th grade. A bunch of the guys on the bus are total jerks. They harassed me & my friend & one guy even grabbed my friend's butt! And the bus driver doesn't give a crap about it. I dreaded going to school if I had to ride the bus that day. What can I do to prevent myself from riding the bus? I don't wanna be a victim of harassment anymore.

well u tell them to stop or u will make them and that yur not scred of them i wouldnt take that shit from no one dont care if ther bigger or storger u have rights and u should be able to get a ride to skool and not have to worry dont worry u tell them off or say sum thell leave u right alone

There isn't much that can be done about taking a bus most highschools are bussed in, but talk to your principal, because you can get tranferred to another bus if there is harassment on the bus, the principal should do something about it, or they shouldnt be a principal

If this is going on on the school bus then you can talk to your principal and have yourself and your friend transfered to a new bus or those jerks transfered to another bus. If this is the city bus, well then you might want to consider a new bus route if you really dont want to deal with this at all. If you'd rather have the situation dealt with, then contact the bus company, or the government section that deals with the bus line and lodge a complaint. Something should get done about the situation.

Talk to your parents. You can either try to find other ways to get to school (like a carpool) or you could find ways to defend yourself. Maybe your parents can get you some pepper spray or you can arrange to sit in the front of the bus.
Also, don't be afraid to raise a fus just to keep from being embarassed. Slap the guys if they try to touch you innappropriately, and ALWAYS go on the bus with friends to help you raise said fuss.
Also, maybe the same guys won't be on the bus, in which case you'll be fine!

Have you talked to your parents about the harrassing and stuff like that ? Well, if you haven't , then maybe it's time for you to take action . Now I don't like violence, but you have to teach some people lessons when they do things like gropping you or your friend . I don't know about that but u are going to have to get over that not wanna riding the bus kind of deal . I know how it is because on our bus, they curse, fight, harass, and they are just foul . Talk to your parents, but sometimes you have to give people a good knock up side the head before they realize to leave you alone . Have a nice day, and good luck !!!

well if u dont wanna go wit a bus then tell ur parents 2 drive u...if they cant n u have no choice then if any of the guys bothers u then u should go n tell the main office n tell the ppl there...i'm sure they'll help n they guys wont bother u...the thing is that in high school there are not as many guys inmature n disrespectful...i've been there so..xoxo effy

well ok you can ride the bus and this still goes on you can tell your school and those guys can get into some major trouble! maybe you can car pool with like an older neighbor, or a neighbor that doesnt ride the bus and their parents take them. Good luck with this and i hope those guys stop being dick heads!

Well to me the problem is not riding the bus it is the people on it and i totally understand where you are coming from . I think you need to tell your parents and have them call the bus lot and report the driver and then call your school and have these idiots delt with .
