I'm going into my freshman year in high school. What are some do's & don'ts for high school?

Don't get so hung up on boys that you ignore your schoolwork.
Do everything you can to get a scholarship.
Don't let other people determine how happy you are because of looks.
Do enjoy yourself every chance you can because you are only young once, but be careful
Do graduate from high school before becoming pregnant/getting married because college is way more fun than high school.
Do cherish every friend you have because you don't know when you won't have them again.
Don't wear too much makeup. It makes you break out.
Don't worry too much. Be yourself.

Do get involved in high school... join clubs, do sports, SCA is always good. Make new friends, have fun, and do your work!
Don't give people attitude, ditch friends, get into drinking/drugs. Also, don't think you have to stick to one clique! Don't ditch friends for a boyfriend, and don't spend the whole time trying to get 'popular.'

Bump into someone and give them attitude
Ignore friends from middle/elementary school
Take school work lightly
Take up smoking because you think it makes you cool
Think that an attractive boyfriend/girlfriend makes you more worthy and valued person

Study, at least TRY
Be polite, smile, even when you dont have to
Make new friends
Take school seriously, even from the beginning
Have fun

Socially, it stays basically the same as before, so don't worry about that.
Focus on your homework, because when I switched, I found myself with much more homework then I'd had before, which was annoying.
If you're switching to a high school (as opposed to a K - 12 school) then you'll have to get used to being last for everything. Sitting on the floor when they run out of seats, for example. Froshies are trod upon greatly by seniors at my school.
There aren't as many differences between high school and middle school as one is lead to believe, so don't worry much.

Be yourself and you'll get friends who like you for you and not someone you have to pretend to be. Also don't lie, and no matter what never talk bad about anyone! Hope I've helped.

Hmm, Do's i'd say do your homework!!! Its so easy to slack off! Get involved with sports and like theater and what not! Dont skip classes! Its so easy to get caught and when your a freshman you dont have a car to drive so why skip school you have no where else to besides sit in the bathroom! Dont mouth off! Eh just be yourself
