Im so scared because I just had my period a few months ago and Im 12 yrs old. thats not what im worried about though. i fingred myself and I dont know how deep i went but it wasnt that deep i dont think, but then I went to the bathroom and i saw that i was bleeding from my vagina but i don know if its from my period or not...its almost around the time when i usually have it but im scared because did anything bad happen when i fingred myself? or is it just my period?
Firefly answered Thursday February 26 2004, 4:53 pm: aw, you poor baby. periods are horrible, i know.
is your blood kinda sticky and mucus like? if it is, then that is your period. and yes. you are supposed to bleed from your vagina. if you're 12, they'll probably have some sort of a health class to stick you in so you learn more about what's going on. if you have a female parental-type figure in your life, like a mom or something, you can ask her. she'll know all about it.
sandy2004 answered Friday February 20 2004, 11:26 pm: hello scared
well from my experience you cannot damage yourself from just fingering it is your period more than likely but if you cant ask your mom ask your mom to take you to a gynecologist dr for females tell her what you did and ask her but im almost sure it is just your period

Moop answered Friday February 20 2004, 11:03 pm: DO NOT go by what anyone says when they tell you masturbation is wrong. I am glad you are "fingering yourself" as opposed to having sex. Sex only causes bad things while masturbation, I've heard, brings one closer to themself. [ Moop's advice column | Ask Moop A Question ]
alpha answered Friday February 20 2004, 10:50 pm: It's almost certainly just your period, unless you scratched yourself a little. It is very, VERY unlikely that you broke your hymen ("popped your cherry" or whatever) by inserting your finger -- your finger is smaller than a tampon, and virgins can use tampons without any effects on their hymen at all. (Oh, and it is not abnormal at all to be fingering yourself -- you're exploring your body, and there's nothing wrong with that.) [ alpha's advice column | Ask alpha A Question ]
ameristar answered Friday February 20 2004, 10:32 pm: I know what its like to be 12 and be concerned..First of all, relax! Was it a little blood and if so, did it stop soon after? You might have scraped a little tender area or it could be your period for real! Please write back and let me know whats going on- I CARE

AlexiaJayn answered Friday February 20 2004, 4:31 pm: Okay, for starters, you obviously are developing and are exploring, so to speak. It's quite alright to have these urges and needs. You are better off taking care of them by yourself than to allow someone to take care of them for you. You are still young, you have a long time to go before you're ready for someone else to take care of your physical needs.
Chances are good that it is just your period. It is common that you get urges around the time you are ready to menstrate because of the hormonal levels in your body. Don't worry too much about the bleeding.
Take care of yourself. If you have any more questions, feel free to ask!
beautiful answered Friday February 20 2004, 2:22 pm: Girl you are nasty for doing that in the first place, but anyhow you are bleeding so it is you period. Now if you want that to be done to you at least let a guy do for you but not until you are old enough. Time will tell.
