my boyfriend and i are thinking about having sex for the first time in the near future. i don't really have access to getting birth control because my mom would flip out and i don't have anyone who could take me to a health center type thing to get some.
my question is, is a condom effective enough to use without me being on birth control. will it be safe?? and is it true that there is only a 2% chance of getting pregnant with a condom?

Hey my whole entire family treats me like iam a baby even my cousins and everybody it's not just my mom either i'll give you an example like the other day when we went to the skating rink my cousin told my 14 year old and my 15 year old cousin to look after me like iam a little baby and i know how to skate really well so it can't be becouse i can't skate could somebody please tell me why they do this and how can i make them treat me like my age.
please help me.

My OLD best friend was the greatest for 3 years, or so I thought, I found out she lied and wasn't even my real friend for the first 2 years, and she does little things just to make herself feel better and me feel worse. This may seem kinda stupid and conseted but after being taken advantage of for 3 years it's a big thing/ But anyway, I realised she's really insecure, not that pretty or cool, and I'm MUCH prettier than her. SO after she told all these people lies about me I stoped being her friends, and made friends with my best friend in the world Meg, and we're so good together and we get along great but being friends with her and not my old friend has comprimised my friendships with a lot of my old friends. OKay there's this boy and he's so sweet, but the problem is that he's shorter than me.. and I'm not that tall either... he also is kind of shy..
I'm pretty sure he likes me, like 87% sure, but he's shy-ish when it comes to girls so I don't know if he'll say no just to get out of an akward situation
He's really funny and I have never liked a boy so much, I just don't know wheather or not to ask him out.

Okay, well I'm 13/f
I just got my period in November so I have only had it 3 times...
I want to use a tampon so bad because it's so much less hastle...
but it hurt...
so I talked to my mom and she said that there is this thing called a "cherry" and that to use a tampon you'd have to break it or else it would hurt too bad. And that some girls break it with a tampon or with sex.. and I know the second one is WAY out of the question... but I'm kinda scared
so if any girl knows what it feels like to break it with a tampon please tell me if it's worth it to wait..

hey. last year i liked this guy but i didn't know him that well. i was going to talk to him & get to know him but my friend started bothering him all of the time because everyone told me he liked me even tho we never really talked. some things he did starting to make me think he might like me but i didnt want to get my hopes up. anyway.. my friend would ask him about me everyday even when i told her to stop..some of his answeres would be good but i just wanted to talk to him myself..after that i was too embarassed. she even wrote him a note pretending to b me and said i liked him..i still like this guy but it was pretty obvious he never liked me back. im still not over him..i still see him everyday and even tho i dont have any c...

Florida-Vacation

I don't know if this is in the right category but I hope it is. Well anyway, I'm going to Florida this summer for a vacation. 13/f(not that my asl has anything to do with it). but i live in maine so i was wondering what the easiest way of transportation would be because my parents cant decide whether 2 get a plane (cuz the tickets cost more) or take the car down there (it would be like 3 days of driving! and the gas costs a LOT). and one more thing:
what are some good hotels or good places to see there? thanks

Should I Stay Or Go?

Ok well I'm a freshman in highschool. Currently, I go to a great school with different "academies" that focus on specific jobs, such as health, telecommunications, etc. By the time I finish highschool, if I stay there all four years, I will have a certificate which will help me towards getting my degree. However, in this school, I have to wake up at five in the morning every day and I get home around 3:00, when school lets out at 2:30. I've been thinking about going to my homeschool, which is only a few blocks away. If I went to that school, I wouldn't have to wake up so early, I would get home much earlier, which would give me more time for homework, and I'd probably get much better grades because the teachers there are less str...

in my school theres this club called the "Duck Tape Club". me and my friend were CRACKING UP when we heard it on the announcements.. but seriously like nobody i know knows what it is!! and they said yesterday that there were only 7 more slots left, and today it said that the spots were filled, and not to fret cause they're making another club in the spring.
