Weight Question

I'm roughly 5'4 and 14 years old (I'm going to be 15 in exactly one month) I weigh 115/120lbs, it fluctuates weekly. All my friends say I'm skinny and beautiful, but sometimes I really don't like it. I have a lot of muscles especially on my arms from sports, and I hate the extra skin on my stomach and my legs. How much should someone my age weigh? Any suggestions?

Great. Just great! I needed relief from allergies so I heard about Zicam, and now just imagine what it is like to have had more than one doctor tell you that you don't really have a loss of smell, that your sense of smell and sense of taste isn't damaged or lost at all, but that it is in your head!

So you go to a shrink and of course you know that nobody is ever kicked out of a psychologist's office for being "healthy," so you go there for a year, which is making you feel pointless as a human because nothing works and you can't smell anything... worst of all you can't TASTE anything. :( Then you start hearing all about zicam side effects. About this time you find out that you have no business at a shrink. No b...

Students flunking EVERYTHING at Myra Bradwell Elementary School?

I heard something in the news that the students of a big city school (Myra Bradwell Elementary School) are failing. More than half of the school is failing? How does this happen? How on EARTH can we, as parents be sure that our students, elementary and otherwise, aren't going to end up like this?

The parents there said that Myra Bradwell Elementary School sent NO warnings home that the students were struggling in their grades. The school says they did send notices. If one parent says that they didn't get a note, that is one thing, but if 60% of the parents of the student body of Myra Bradwell Elementary School say they had no warning at all, I believe them.

So, if the school itself is going to lie to us...

Losing weight

This summer I want to lost weight. I weigh about 115. It's not bad for me. I'm 5'5. But its not muscle. I'm not fat, but I'm not skinny either. So mostly I want to look fit. I want to try to be healthier too. So any ideas what I can do? Thanks so much!

Losing weight and keeping fit?

So, I have a "Elliptical Cross-Trainer" at home, and I was thinking, if I use it every day, for 15-20 minutes, will that help me lose weight, or just build muscle?
Also, I'm going to stop snacking and eating fast food, and giving up energy drinks + sodas.
I've been drinking a litre of water a day for the past few weeks, will that help me lose weight as well?

Basically, I'm not obese, and my BMI is average, but I'm chubby, I only need to lose about 5-8Kgs.

I'm about 10lbs over weight. I went to the gym for 1 hour 5 times a week for three months and never lost a single pound or inch even after I cut out sodas and junk food. Anyone else have this problem? I lost my motivation.

Sore for over a week

18/F. I was working out last week and did a set of pushups after not doing them for over 2 years. I stretched out before and after and did a cool down/warm up. In the next couple days I noticed that the area on the sides, slight above, and slightly below my breasts were extremely sore. My boyfriend said that it's normal to be sore there after pushups because it's your chest that you're working out. But I am still sore after a week and a day.

Is there something wrong? Did I strain anything? What can I do to make it feel better?

Help! I Look Pregnant!

I carry a lot of weight in my tummy. It seems like no matter how much weight I lose, I have a pot belly and people ask me if I'm pregnant. I see a lot of middle aged women with this problem, but I am only 21. Even if I lost weight until I was at the very lowest point of the healthy range (I have been that small in the past), I still have a fat tummy. Is liposuction my only option? I would never get it, but I want to know if there is anything else I can do to change the shape of my body. No gimmicks please. Please don't tell me to eat acai berry, spammer. I guess if you're a spammer you're not reading this closely though. Ho, hum.

loosing weight. / right routine.

so i want to loose 40lbs.
let me rephrase that. i need to loosd 40lbs.
i'm supposed to weigh 120 for my height. but 135 is good too.
i weigh about 175 right now.
but anyways, i've been going to planet fitness for about a month now.
my routine:
20 minutes arc trainer or eliptical
10 minutes tredmil or bicycle
15 - 20 minutes on leg and arm toning.
60 crunches. 20 on each side. 90 in total.

i recently started the slimfast diet.

do you think this is a good workout routine, or too much/too little

smell

okay, so lately i've been noticing that while i work out i get this smell. like my vagina gets really moist and thats all i can smell. as if i'm turned on.
is this normal? i didn't worry about it until my boyfriend mentioned he noticed it on the tredmill.
how do i get rid of it? or why does it get like this?

turn fast-twitch muscles into slow-twitch muscles

okay so for two years i ran track in high school. i did sprinting. (i got 5th several times in the state meets.:]) so my leg muscles are wide and big. i know they are fast-twitch muscles from sprinting but i want to turn them into slow-twitch muscles that are slimmer and skinnier looking. please help! :)

Kankles

I am 13 years old and I'm everybody says I have kankles. They say wow why are you so skinny and then you just have kankles. Also they say my calfs don't fit my body because I'm skinny and then my calfs are fat. I don't know why I have kankles when I skateboard everyday for like 3 hours or more and I go to the gym every day and I play basketball for an hour a day. So I don't understand why I have kankles and the rest of my body is skinny. Mabey it's just like a trait from my parents and I can't fix it. Please help.

Swimming

I want to tone up a bit and get fit for the Summer so I've decided to start swimming regularly. I went a couple of days ago and managed to swim lengths (I didn't count how many) for around 30 minutes, although I did pause every couple of lengths for breath. I was thinking of swimming for about 30 minutes 4-5 days a week. I'm not a particularly good swimmer and I tend to stick to breast stroke. What would be a good regime to follow to work as many different areas as possible?

in shape/lose weight

okay so i get out of school this friday and i want to start an exercise routine to get in shape over the summer and lose weight before i have field hockey tryouts at the end of august.

i am overweight, but not terribly, and im rocking a lot of curves. im not self conscience with my body or anything but id like to loose weight to be even more happier with myself.

so what are some really good exercises that help you loose weight and build muscle in your: arms, stomach, legs/thighs, and butt? so pretty much just everywhere actually. also what are good ways to get in relllllly good shape running wise?

oh and some healthy meals i could eat for all 3 meals of the day would be really great to know too.

I just want a slimmer, healthier body, why is that so hard?

I am 17, and only around 5'2, with frustrating belly fat. I think I look pretty good, but I need to tone my legs and arms and start working towards a flat stomach.

I haven't been on an official diet, but I do cut down on sweets, grease, and junk food. I like to eat things like blueberries, yogurt, or applesauce, and I don't drink soda. I don't have a big appetite, so I eat small meals which means I eat more snacks.

I usually walk about half a mile with my dogs in the morning or evening. The only exercise equipment we own is a stationary bike and, no, there isn't a convenient gym around here. I can't get outside a lot in the summer when it's hot; the sun makes me absolutely sick. Still, I need to get active so...
