I know its for pain relief but why is it such a popular drug everyone wants even if they have no pain?

so my boyfriend of almsot two years and i just broke up last week. i was insanely hurt, still kinda am, but im making it. i want to put a line from a song on my myspace status, but i cant think of any specific ones. obviously it cant be very long, but i basically want it to state that, yeah im hurt and it sucks, but im living my life and getting through the days just fine. or something to make him regret giving me up. haha i know that's bad but it helps.
can anyone think of any specific lines or songs that i could choose from?
i mainly listen to rock and country.

Word?

So, this is kind of an odd question, but it's really bothering me!
Today in English, my teacher said a word that sounded like it was spelt "vitchorial" or something like that. She said it meant something like "bitter" or some negative word like that?
She said that it was used in context with speeches, like "the speech had a tone of vitchory."
I can't find it on dictionary.com. If anybody knows what word I'm talking about, it would be greatly appreciated.

How does popcorn get made in the bag when u put it in the microwave?Isnt it a big block of butter before you put it in the microwave?Wouldnt the butter melt and not make popcorn?

okay, i'm a 15 year old female. i'm still in school and i need help on finding out what i wish to be. i really really love english and writing (and money (lol), so i think i want to go into that feild. i dont want to be a teacher, and im not really into the whole write for the newspaper as a job. i also love to read by the way. i would love for someone to give me some help or give me a couple choices on jobs including english/listerature. I am going to go to college for this.

Spectacles are a waste of time

I got my glasses (first time) last 2 weeks and since then I feel like they need tightening every day. they keep falling off...or at least i think they do. I've been to the place i bought them (the eye care/glasses selling place) to get them tightened about 4 times in 2 weeks and they still don't feel like a perfect fit.
Is this how glasses are supposed to be or am i just getting accustomed? How many times do you carry your glasses to get tightened?

iPod touch=amazing

Recently got an ipod touch for my birthday and it is amazing. it's like a mini computer...with everything possible i need/want.
Unfortunately wifi isn't available everywhere, but i'll get over that soon.
I know i can listen to music, videos and surf the web, etc on it. But what else can i do?
Right now itunes isn't available where i live (yes i know boo-hoo)...so i can't download apps and such.
can i download boooks from scribd.com onto it? I saw you could but i didn't want to risk it.
Also where can i download tv shows (for free) to put on it?
Anything else fun to do with it?

i like being there for my friends, ill try to listen and give advice when my friends are in trouble. but the thing is im not good at advice because im more of a listener so its not really helping my friends so i feel really bad when it wont solve their problem,people say i dont need to fix their problem i know that, but i wanna at least know what to say when they're in trouble how can i be better at giving advices?

Okay, this might be a little long. I appreciate any answers I get though. I just got a perm a few days before Valentines Day I believe. Now that wasn't my first perm. I've gotten like 2-3 other perms in the past. I'm really wishing I wouldnt've gotten this perm, but I already did it so I can't complain now. When I was first getting perms, I really loved them. And after finding out that guys really don't like curly hair most of the time, and they like straighter hair, I didn't want this anymore. It's also the fact that my hair is just so frizzy, but I'm sure it won't always be like that. Before I even even got one perm in my life, my hair was already naturally wavy and very thick. This is kind of a legal question... but I put it into Etiquette because that's the closest.
I got my licence a couple of months ago (I'm not from America so I'm only a couple years late getting it!) and a month into getting it I accidently reversed into someone in a car park. I admit I wasn't paying as much attention as I should have been, and it was entirely my fault. Anyway, I got out of the car and apologised to the woman about 4 times. She was really nice and said it was fine, there was more damage to my car than hers (I had a tiny scratch on the bumper, and she had no damage.. it's a tow bar afterall) So since there was no damage, I got in the car and drove away.
