I can get a tampon in but it feels weird...am I doing it wrong?!

Hi I just got my first period and I need to start using tampons because pads arent working well for me and I dont want period stains at school! So anyways I FINALLY figured out where to put a tampon in and I can get it in now but Ive tried twice but every time I put one in it feels weird and when I bend over it hurts. And when I stand up I can kinda feel it in there and it feel's like it's getting like slowly pushed out and it's the kind of feeling you get when your at the bottom of a deep pool and your blew out all your air and your just sitting there with no air if you know what Im talking about kind of a weird squeezing feeling? Am I putting it in far enough or am I even putting it in right or is something wrong with me!?

So im not a virgin im 16 gonna be 17 on the 20th of this month, i have a friend with benifits and we do all types of thing, but this is more just a random question but my friend nicole shes 17 and a virgin, she said that fingering is considered sex because it a part of his body inside mine, i understand what she means but i dont think that is considered to be sex i say if he puts his (cough cough) inside my (cough cough) then thats sex you cant get pregnant by fingering ..well you can but its very rare. So im just wondering is that really true that finering is considered to be sex?

Do Condoms Really Make Sex Less Pleasurable For Men?

My partner and I have been sexually active and I'm on birth control. However, as a back-up plan I generally like to use condoms. We've both been tested for STI's and everything (I just believe in never being too safe.)
The issue is, my partner says sex is "dull" with a condom on (we've tried numerous brands) and that he really prefers sex without a condom, because he can actually "feel everything".
This has made me insecure, and I guess I'm wondering if this is normal of him to feel that way. I've heard a lot of guys complain about condoms decreasing the pleasure of having sex - is there any truth to this?
I just feel inadequate and want to please him.

I met this boy in third grade, we became good friends, who knew we would still be friends all the way until 11th grade, best at that. Now, I tell him most things I wouldn't tell my girlfriends because they like to gossip, with him, I know he will keep everything to himself if I tell him. He tells me about this girl he likes, he sends me songs that he writes for his guitar, we are both in the marching band and we talk alot after practice, we text a lot, we talk about anything too, private life, our brothers, our parents, our plans for the week. We know pretty much all there is to know about a friend, which is weird because he doesn't open up easily. When he's with his guy friends, he laughs alot and he talks kind of loud, when he's around me...

I get bumps when I shave down there!

im a girl and whenever i shave down there i always get bumps and my hair doesnt get shaved all the way so it still feels scratchy.
is this normal? what kind of razor should i use to prevent this and what kind of technique?

Smoking, drinking and pregnancy

this is a completely hypothetical question:
lets say that a girl who smokes and drinks had sex and got pregnant. she didnt know she was pregnant until she missed her period and took a home pregnancy test. up until this point, about 5-6 weeks into the pregnancy, she smoked and drank. but when she found out she was pregnant, she quit both of those, knowing they'd be harmful to the fetus. how much damage would be done to the baby within the first 5-6 weeks if someone smoked and drank but didn't know that they were pregnant? and then if they quit immediately after they found out? thanks. once again, this a completely hypothetical question. i'm not pregnant, but i smoke and drink and have sex, so i'm just wondering in case i get pregnant and i'm unaware.

Spotting while on the pill

I forgot to take my pill one day, but I was only late by about 14 hours. I've been spotting for over 48 hours now and it's really annoying. The weird thing for me is that when it's time to take the placebo pills, it usually takes about 2 days to get my period, not 14 hours. (I've been on it for almost a year now) Is this normal? If this has happened to anyone else, how long will it take to go away?? (I'm not having sex so I'm not worried about getting pregnant, I just want to know when this will be over)

umm if you read my past entries, ive had this crush on my stepbrother for a while now.

Psychiatry?

I'm thinking about studying to be a psychiatrist. I think psychology is SO interesting and I think it's fascinating how the human mind works, etc etc etc.
But I'm not great with people. I suck at small talk. I'm just SO awkward around people I don't / barely know.
So does being a psychiatrist require one to be a people person? Or is there some branch in the field that doens't?
